Abstract

Untuk mengetahui seberapa besar gaya dorong dari propeller, penulis membuat suatu pengujian gaya dorong dengan memanfaatkan udara sebagai media dorong. Dengan menggunakan motor DC 250 Watt yang mendapat sumber tenaga dari panas matahari untuk menggerakkan perahu , kemudian menguji propeller dengan variasi diameter propeller 660 mm, 762 mm, dan 812,8 mm, serta menguji variasi voltase pada 12 volt, 18 volt dan 24 volt pada setiap propeller. Analisa penggunaan panel surya yang dibutuhkan diperoleh sebanyak 2 buah panel surya 170 WP. Dari perhitungan ukuran diameter poros yang layak digunakan, diperoleh ukuran diameter poros sebesar 10 mm. Hasil pengujian gaya dorong (thrust) yang diperoleh bervariasi, tergantung dari ukuran diameter propeller dan variasi voltase, sehingga diperoleh ukuran diameter yang tertinggi adalah dengan menggunakan ukuran diameter 812,8 mm dengan daya 218,2 Watt dimana gaya dorong (thrust) yang dihasilkan sebesar 5,8 Kg. Kuat arus tertinggi yang dihasilkan adalah 9,1 ampere, namun temperatur motor penggerak menjadi sangat tinggi. Disarankan dalam pengaplikasian dilapangan menggunakan 2 buah motor dan 2 buah baling-baling dengan diameter 762 mm agar Thrust yang dihasilkan sebesar 6,4 Kg, sehingga temperatur motor yang terjadi tidak terlalu tinggi./ To find out how big the thrust of the propeller, the author makes a test of the thrust by utilizing air as a thrust medium. By using a 250 Watt DC motor which gets its power from the sun's heat to drive the boat, then testing the propeller with variations in the diameter of the propeller 660 mm, 762 mm, and 812.8 mm, and testing the voltage variations at 12 volts, 18 volts and 24 volts at each propeller. Analysis of the use of solar panels required obtained as many as 2 solar panels 170 WP. From the calculation of the size of the shaft diameter that is suitable for use, it is obtained that the size of the shaft diameter is 10 mm. The results of the thrust test obtained vary, depending on the size of the propeller diameter and voltage variations, so that the highest diameter size is obtained by using a diameter of 812.8 mm with a power of 218.2 Watts where the thrust generated is equal to 5.8 Kg. The highest current produced is 9.1 amperes, but the temperature of the driving motor becomes very high. It is recommended in the field application to use 2 motors and 2 propellers with a diameter of 762 mm so that the resulting thrust is 6.4 Kg, so that the motor temperature that occurs is not too high.
