Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apa yang dimaksud dengan homeschooling, model homeschooling dan penggunaan model homeschooling dalam pembelajaran PAK di PKBM Wesley Pelita Bangsa School (WPBS) Pluit-Jakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini 67 orang informan, sedangkan yang menjadi sampel penelitian berjumlah 16 orang yang terdiri dari 4 orang guru, 6 orangtua dan 6 orang siswa/i dengan kriteria mereka terlibat secara langsung dalam kegiatan homeschooling. Penentuan sampel ini berdasarkan pada tujuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru, orangtua dan siswa/i memahami homeschooling sebagai sekolah rumah tetapi pemahaman mereka tentang modelmodel homeschooling kurang memadai, rata-rata mengenal dua model homeschooling. Ini membuktikan bahwa kurangnya informasi tentang homeschooling ini membuat banyak orang tidak memahaminya. Selanjutnya penggunaan model homeschooling dalam pembelajaran PAK menunjukkan hal yang positif di mana dalam setiap anak sebelum memulai pelajaran diwajibkan untuk menghafal ayat-ayat Alkitab, saat teduh dan doa bersama. Mengingat pentingnya homeschooling, maka perlu ada solusi yang segera dilakukan yaitu mengadakan seminar dan pelatihan kepada guru dan orangtua supaya lebih memahami homeschooling dan model-model homeschooling. Dengan demikian homeschooling menjadi sebuah pilihan alternatif dan pertimbangan bagi orangtua untuk kebutuhan pendidikan anak. Kata kunci: Model homeschooling, pembelajaran PAK./ The purpose of this study is to find out what does homeschooling mean, homeschooling model and the usage of home schooling model in Christian Education Learning in Wesley Pelita Bangsa School (WPBS) Pluit-Jakarta Senior High School. Data collection techniques used in this study are interviews, observation and documentation. The total population of this research was 67 informants, while the number of respondents was 16 people consisting of 4 teachers, 6 parents and 6 students with their criteria directly involved in homeschooling activities. The determination of this sample is based on the research objectives. The results show that teachers, parents and students understand homeschooling as a home school but they have inadequate understanding of homeschooling models, in average, recognizes 2 kinds of homeschooling models. This proves that the lack of information about homeschooling makes many people do not understand about it. Furthermore the usage of the homeschooling model in Christian Education Learning shows a positive thing in which each child before starting their lesson is required to memorize Bible verses, do devotion and pray together. Given the importance of homeschooling, there is need for an immediate solution to conduct seminars and training for teachers and parents to have better understanding about homeschooling and homeschooling models. Thus homeschooling may become an alternative choice and consideration for parents for the educational needs of children. Keywords: Homeschooling Model, Christian Education Learning.
