Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas upaya pemerintah Indonesia untuk mengamankan wilayah laut Natuna dari ancaman Illegal Fishing yang makin marak terjadi. Resolusi dari isu ini akan dibahas dengan Teori Sekuritisasi untuk memahami strategi yang diterapkan oleh pemerintah Indonesia untuk mengatasi ancaman Illegal Fishing yang makin berkembang dan Konsep Border Security untuk menjelaskan Natuna sebagai wilayah perbatasan Indonesia yang terancam karena Illegal Fishing. Hal ini menjadi penting karena Kabupaten Natuna merupakan salah satu daerah yang akan dikembangkan model pembangunan ekonomi biru. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk menyimpulkan peran dan upaya pemerintah Indonesia dalam penerapan keamanan di Natuna secara menyeluruh dari penerapan kebijakan dalam negeri, internasional, dan bekerjasama dengan masyarakat nelayan untuk membantu menjaga keamanan maritim.//This study discusses the Indonesian government's efforts to secure the Natuna sea area from the threat of Illegal Fishing which is increasingly prevalent. The resolution of this issue will be discussed with the Securitization Theory to understand the strategies implemented by the Indonesian government to overcome the growing threat of Illegal Fishing and the Border Security Concept to explain Natuna as an Indonesian border area that is threatened due to Illegal Fishing. This is important because Natuna Regency is one of the areas where the blue economy development model will be developed. Data collection in this study uses qualitative methods that are analyzed descriptively to conclude the role and efforts of the Indonesian government in implementing security in Natuna as a whole from the implementation of domestic and international policies, and in collaboration with fishing communities to help maintain maritime security.
