Abstract
Diabetic Foot merupakan salah satu komplikasi diabetes melitus yang banyak dialami oleh penderita diabetes yang dapat menyebabkan masalah baik dari ekonomi, fisik dan psikis, serta mampu merengut nyawa seseorang. Diperkirakan satu dari empat penderita diabetes melitus di dunia berpotensi mengalami diabetic foot dan 1 juta diantara penderitanya mengalami amputasi. Amputasi sebagai salah satu tindakan penanganan yang ingin dihindari namun harus tetap dilaksanakan untuk menghindari perburukan hingga kematian. Memberikan informasi mengenai salah satu komplikasi diabetes yaitu diabetic foot. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan melakukan penelusuran rekam medis pasien diabetes melitus di RSU UKI pada periode 2018-2021 dengan teknik total sampling. Dari penelitian terhadap 413 pasien dengan diabetes melitus didapatkan 25 pasien mengalami amputasi dari 112 pasien dengan komplikasi Diabetic Foot dan 4 pasien menolak untuk diamputasi. Sebanyak 17 pasien dengan diagnosis Wagner 4 paling banyak mengalami amputasi, 3 pasien mengalami amputasi bawah lutut, 3 pasien dengan riwayat amputasi sebelumnya, dan 2 pasien meninggal dunia akibat operasi amputasi. Diabetic Foot merupakan salah satu komplikasi terbanyak pada penderita diabetes yang dapat berakibat pada tindakan amputasi, sehingga diperlukan edukasi, pencegahan dan ilmu perawatan kaki bagi keluarga dan pasien dengan riwayat diabetes maupun Diabetic Foot dan masyarakat luas./ Diabetic Foot is one of the most complications in diabetic patient can cause economic problems, physical disability, mental health problems, and can take a person’s life. One of four people with diabetes mellitus worldwide is estimate potential to have diabetic foot and 1 million of them experience an amputation. Amputation is one of the surgical procedures that want to avoid but must be carried out to avoid worsening until death. To provide information about diabetic foot as a complication of diabetes. The study was conducted by tracing diabetic patient’s medical record at RSU UKI for the period 2018-2021 with total sampling technique. Based on research of 413 diabetic mellitus at RSU UKI, 25 of 112 patients with diabetic foot had amputations with 4 patients refusing to be amputated. Meggitt-Wagner Classification Grade 4 with 17 patient is the most grade with incident of amputation, 3 patients had mayor amputations, 3 patients had repeated amputations, and 2 patients died due to surgery. Diabetic foot is one of the most complication in diabetics that have fatality effect that cause amputation. So that, education, prevention, and knowledge of foot care are needed foot for families and patients with a history of diabetes and diabetic foot and the wider community.
