Abstract

Proses Annealing merupakan proses perlakuan panas dimana bahan menglami pemanasan yang mendadak, temperatur dipertahankan tetap selama waktu tertentu kemudian dilakukan pendinginan secara pelan-pelan. Pada umumnya proses annealing dilakukan oleh material berbahan baja guna mendapatkan kembali atau me-recovery sifat-sifat mekanik yang lebih sesuai dengan aplikasinya. Pada penelitian ini, proses annealing digunakan untuk mengetahui shrinkage produk bermaterial polipropilena dengan beberapa parameter temperatur 50°C, 75°C, dan 100°C dengan variasi waktu annealing 5 jam dan 10 jam. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi temperatur akan mengakibatkan shrinkage yang lebih besar pula. Disini hasil shrinkage tertinggi berada pada temperature 100°C dengan waktu annealing selama 10 jam dengan total penyusutan 1.941 mm dengan ratio shrinkage 0.57%. ketika produk tidak melakukan proses annealing total penyusutannya adalah 0.428 mm dengan ratio shrinkagenya adalah 0.12%. Kata kunci: Shrinkage, Annealing, Polipropilena./ Annealing process is heat treatment process where the material heated suddenly, the temperature is kept constant for a certain time, then cooling at a very slow. In general, annealing process is used for steel in order to regain or recover the mechanical characteristic that are more suitable with the application. In this research, annealing process is used to determine the shrinkage of polypropylene products with several parameters of 50°C, 75°C,100°C temperatures and variations of annealing time 5 hours and 7 hours. The result showed the higher the temperature will result greater shrinkage. Here, the result of the higher shrinkage is on 100°C temperature with annealing time 10 hours with total shrinkage 1.941 mm and the shrinkage ratio 0,57%, when the product did not annealing the total of the shrinkage was 0,428 mm with shrinkage ratio 0,12% Keywords: Al-7075 alloys, artificial aging, T6, hardness, Vickers, crystal structure, crystal size, dislocation density, lattice strain.
