F. “Perbedaan Pemberitaan Kerusuhan Papua 2019 Pada Situs Web Kompas.com dan Tabloidjubi.com (Melalui Analisis Wacana Kritis Theo Van Leeuwen)” Hal yang menarik dalam kegiatan jurnalistik terkini adalah perbedaan pemberitaan online pada media nasional dengan media lokal, terutama saat meliput aksi-aksi yang bersifat lokal. Salah satunya adalah kerusuhan Papua di bulan Agustus 2019. Situs web Kompas.com dan Tabloidjubi.com menerbitkan lebih dari 150 judul berita yang dimulai dari kejadian di Surabaya sampai kerusuhan di Papua. Perbedaan geografis pada media membuat Kompas.com dan Tabloidjubi.com memberitakan peristiwa ini dengan wacana yang berbeda juga. Penelitian ini ingin melihat bagaimana aktor ditampilkan pada wacana pemberitaan mengenai kerusuhan Papua 2019 dan bagaimana media dapat memengaruhi krisis pada geografi Papua melalui wacana pemberitaannya mengenai kerusuhan Papua 2019 pada situs web Kompas.com dan Tabloidjubi.com. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut penelitian ini menggunakan analisis wacana kritis model Theo Van Leeuwen dan teori media geografi sebagai alat interpretasi datanya. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah berita mengenai konflik Papua 2019 pada situs web Kompas.com dan Tabloidjubi.com dengan kriteria berita dari tanggal 19 sampai 23 Agustus 2019. Pada akhirnya penelitian ini melihat jika dimensi tekstur dan hubungan/koneksi pada teori media geografis akan menentukan wacana pemberitaan yang akhirnya menghadirkan representasi terhadap peristiwa unjuk rasa di Papua. Serta terdapat penggambaran sepihak ini dilakukan oleh Kompas.com dengan tidak mewawancarai massa pengunjuk rasa dalam beritanya untuk dimintai keterangan mengenai aksinya yang berakhir dengan kerusuhan. Hal ini membuat massa hanya menjadi objek dari inklusi tanpa memiliki kesempatan untuk menjelaskan maksud dari aksi mereka. F. “Perbedaan Pemberitaan Kerusuhan Papua 2019 Pada Situs Web Kompas.com dan Tabloidjubi.com (Melalui Analisis Wacana Kritis Theo Van Leeuwen)” What is interesting in recent journalistic activities is the difference between online reporting in national media and local media, especially when covering local actions. One of them is the Papua riots in August 2019. The websites Kompas.com and Tabloidjubi.com published more than 150 news headlines ranging from the incident in Surabaya to the riots in Papua. Geographical differences in the media have made Kompas.com and Tabloidjubi.com report this incident with a different discourse. This research wants to see how actors are presented in the news discourse regarding the 2019 Papua riots and how the media can influence the crisis in Papua's geography through their news discourse on the 2019 Papua riots on the Kompas.com website and Tabloidjubi.com. To answer this problem, this study uses critical discourse analysis by Theo Van Leeuwen's model and geographic media theory as a means of data interpretation. The data source in this study is news about the 2019 Papua conflict on the website Kompas.com and Tabloidjubi.com with news criteria from 19 to 23 August 2019. In the end this research sees if the dimensions of texture and relationships / connections in geographic media theory will determine news discourse which ultimately presents a representation of the demonstration in Papua. And there is a one-sided depiction of this one done by Kompas.com by not interviewing the mass of protesters in their news to be asked for information about their actions which ended in riots. This leaves the masses merely objects of inclusion without having the opportunity to explain the intent of their actions.
