Abstract

Nilai akademik mahasiswa kedokteran menjadi salah satu ukuran kompetensi seorang dokter yang sukses di masa depan. Pada penelitian ini mahasiswa akan diukur nilai rata-rata biologi, histologi, fisiologi, anatomi dan biokimia di semester pertama berdasarkan kelompok jenis kelamin dan tempat tinggalnya. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui karakterisasi nilai biologi, histologi, fisiologi, anatomi, dan biokimia pada semester pertama berdasarkan jenis kelamin dan tempat tinggal mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Kristen Indonesia angkatan 2018 – 2020. Jenis penelitian ini adalah cross – sectional dengan pendekatan retrospektif . Terdapat 435 mahasiswa dalam kriteria inklusi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah data hasil nilai akademik preklinik biologi, histologi, fisiologi, anatomi dan biokimia semester pertama. Hasil penelitian dari mahasiswa wanita diperoleh total nilai rerata biologi 71,45, histologi 79,29, fisiologi 55,99, anatomi blok 2 63,58, anatomi blok 3 64,15, dan biokimia 62,95. Dari mahasiswa pria diperoleh total nilai rerata biologi 67,56, histologi 74,87, fisiologi 54,35, anatomi blok 2 60,79, anatomi blok 3 58,40 dan biokmia 58,95. Dari mahasiswa yang tinggal di rumah (bersama orangtua) diperoleh total nilai rerata biologi 70,65, histologi 78,38, fisiologi 56,00, anatomi blok 2 63,65, anatomi blok 3 63,13, dan biokimia 62,85. Dari mahasiswa yang tinggal di kos diperoleh total nilai rerata biologi 69,47, histologi 77,43, fisiologi 54,81, anatomi blok 2 62,30, anatomi blok 3 61,50, dan biokimia 61,15. Kesimpulan diperoleh kelompok mahasiswa wanita dan kelompok mahasiswa yang tinggal di rumah mencapai nilai rata-rata biologi, histologi, fisiologi, anatomi dan biokimia pada semester pertama yang lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan kelompok mahasiswa pria dan kelompok mahasiswa yang tinggal di kos. In this study, students will measure the average value of biology, histology, physiology, anatomy, and biochemistry in the first semester based on their gender group and place of residence. The aim is to characterize the value of biology, histology, physiology, anatomy, and biochemistry in the first semester based on gender and residence of students in the Faculty of Medicine Christian University of Indonesia class of 2018–2020. This sort of study is cross-sectional and has a retrospective approach. There are 435 students who meet the inclusion criteria. The research instrument used is the data from the first semester's preclinical biology, histology, physiology, anatomy, and biochemistry academic scores. The results of the study of female students obtained a total mean value of 71.45, histology 79.29, physiology 55.99, anatomy block 2 63.58, anatomy block 3 64.15, and biochemistry 62.95. From male students, the total mean value of biology was 67.56, histology 74.87, physiology 54.35, anatomy block 2 60.79, anatomy block 3 58.40, and biochemistry 58.95. From the students who lived at home (with their parents), the total biological mean was 70.65, histology 78.38, physiology 56.00, anatomy block 2 63.65, anatomy block 3 63.13, and biochemistry 62.85. From the students living in the boarding house, the total mean value of biology was 69.47, histology 77.43, physiology 54.81, anatomy block 2 62.30, anatomy block 3 61.50, and biochemistry 61.15. The conclusion is that the group of female students and the group of students who live at home achieve higher average scores in biology, histology, physiology, anatomy, and biochemistry in the first semester when compared to the group of male students and the group of students who live in boarding houses.
