Abstract

Indonesia adalah negara yang memiliki potensi sumber energi terbarukan yang cukup besar, salah satunya adalah sumber energi angin yang potensinya mencapai 100 MW. Namun, pemanfaatan sumber energi angin di Indonesia masih belum maksimal, yakni baru sekitar 1.6% atau sekitar 1.6 MW. Desain turbin angin dan pengukuran kecepatan angin rata-rata merupakan hal yang penting dalam pemanfaatan potensi energi angin. Oleh sebab itu, dibutuhkan pengetahuan perihal desain dan simulasi dari beberapa parameter yang mempengaruhi pemanfaatan energi angin, seperti jenis airfoil , kecepatan angin, pitch angle turbin angin, dan parameter desain turbin angin. Dalam penelitian ini, akan dilakukan desain sekaligus simulasi turbin angin menggunakan software Qblade dengan beberapa tipe airfoil yang berbeda, untuk mengetahui tipe airfoil dengan bentuk geometrinya yang paling efisien dalam membangkitkan daya pada turbin angin. Kata kunci : Airfoil, Qblade, Turbin Angin, Daya./ Indonesia is a country that has considerable potential for renewable energy sources, one of which is a source of wind energy with a potential of up to 100 MW. However, the utilization of wind energy sources in Indonesia is still not maximal, which is only around 1.6% or around 1.6 MW. Wind turbine design and measurement of the average wind speed are important in harnessing the potential of wind energy. Therefore, knowledge is needed regarding the design and simulation of several parameters that affect wind energy utilization, such as the type of airfoil, wind speed, wind turbine pitch angle, and wind turbine design parameters. In this research, a wind turbine design and simulation will be carried out using Qblade software with several different airfoil types, to determine which airfoil type with its geometric shape is the most efficient in generating power in the wind turbine.
