Abstract

Satu diantara pengukuran obesitas adalah menggunakan Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT). Meningkatnya obesitas sejalan dengan meningkatnya diabetes melitus tipe 2. DM tipe 2 menyebabkan terganggunya metabolisme lipid dalam tubuh terutama hipertrigliseridemia, penurunan HDL dan kenaikan small dense LDL. Keadaan ini menyebabkan pasien memiliki risiko penyakit kardiovaskular lebih besar. Oleh sebab itu peneliti ingin meneliti lebih lanjut terkait hubungan antara IMT dengan kadar LDL dan trigliserida. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional memakai rekam medik pasien DM Tipe 2 di Rumah Sakit Universitas Kristen Indonesia periode 2018-2021. Hasil pada penelitian didapatkan jumlah sampel sejumlah 60 orang pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2. Lebih banyak terjadi pada pasien dengan jenis kelamin perempuan, usia di antara 65-74 tahun, IMT berlebih, pekerjaan ibu rumah tangga, kadar LDL ber lebih, dan kadar trigliserida yang normal. Uji korelasi antara IMT dan LDL adalah p = 0,588 dengan ratio peluang 0.912. Antara IMT dan trigliserida adalah p = 0,704 dengan ratio peluang 0,702. Analisis korelasi rank spearman antara IMT dan LDL menunjukkan nilai p = 0,895 dengan r=-0,017. Antara IMT dan trigliserida menujukkan nilai p= 0,523 dengan nilai r = -0.084./ A measure of obesity is the Body Mass Index (BMI). The increase in obesity is consistent with the increase in type 2 diabetes. Type 2 DM leads to disorder of lipid metabolism in the body, especially hypertriglyceridemia, low HDL and high small dense LDL. This situation causes patients to have a greater risk of cardio-vascular disease. Therefore, researchers want to investigate further about the relationship between BMI with LDL and triglyceride levels. The method used was a cross- sectional method-based correlation analysis using the medical records of patients with type 2 DM during the period 2018-2021 at the Christian University of Indonesia Hospital. The results of this study included a sample of 60 patients with type 2 diabetes. Most occurred in patients with female sex, aged between 65 74 years, overweight BMI, housewife work, excess LDL levels, and normal triglyceride levels and the correlation test between BMI and LDL was p=0.588 with an odds ratio of 0.912 p = 0.704 between BMI and triglycerides with an odds ratio of 0.702. Spearman’s rank correlation analysis between BMI and LDL showed p value = 0.895, r = -0.017. Between BMI and triglycer-ides, p value = 0.523, r value = -0.084.
