Abstract

Seni merupakan kebudayaan yang lahir dari kebebasan berekspresi manusia. Salah satu jenis jenis yaitu seni kontemporer yang adalah perkembangan seni yang terpengaruh dampak modernisasi, namun kontemporer dan modern adalah dua hal yang berbeda, karena kontemporer terus mengikuti perkembangan zaman. Penghargaan terhadap seni di Indonesia belakangan ini cukup dihargai baik ditingkat nasional maupun internasional, apresiasi seni ditunjukkan dengan banyaknya aktivitas seni yang diselenggarakan, hal ini mengakibatkan banyak seniman yang dituntut menggelar karya mereka sehingga membutuhkan wadah seperti bangunan galeri seni agar masyarakat dapat mengerti kegiatan yang terdapat didalamnya dan dapat menikmati pameran seni tersebut. “Galeri Seni Rupa Kontemporer” dibangun untuk membantu para seniman menunjukkan hasil karya mereka. Bangunan ini dibangun dengan desain arsitektur futuristik, yaitu gaya bangunan yang perencanaannya tidak melihat ke masa lalu tetapi ke masa depan, hal ini dapat dilihat dari bentuk dan material yang dipakai mempunyai unsur hi-tech yang tinggi. Tampilan bangunan dibuat ekspresif sebagai luapan hati para seniman yang dapat dilihat dari pengolahan tata ruang, bentuk dan permainan fasad bangunan. Kata Kunci : seni kotemporer, arsitektur futuristik, seniman, galeri seni, hi-tech./ Art is a culture which born from the freedom of human's expressions. One type of art is contemporary art which is the development of art that is affected by the impact of modernization, but contemporary art and modern art is two kind of different things, because contemporary will always follow the current developments of times. The appreciation for arts in Indonesia is valued good enough these days, both in national as well as international degree. This appreciation is showed by many of art activity that caused so many artists show off their arts. This building is built with futuristic architecture, which is the style of the design is looked to the the future times, not to the past times. These can be seen as the building is using an element of hi-tech designs and materials. The appearance of the building was made expressive as an overflowing heart of the artists that can be seen from the processing of the spatial structure and the facade play.
