Abstract

Latar belakang: Angka kejadian COVID-19 masih sangat tinggi di berbagai negara terutama negara berkembang salah satunya Indonesia, penyebaran COVID-19 sangat cepat dan gejala yang ditimbulkan beragam. Ibu hamil termasuk kedalam kelompok rentan terpapar COVID-19. Kata Kunci: COVID-19, Ibu Hamil, Kehamilan, Persalinan Preterm, ACE-2, Gawat Darurat Janin, Hipoksia Janin./ Background: COVID-19 cases remain high in many countries, especially in developing countries, such as Indonesia. The COVID-19 virus spreads rapidly and the symptoms are various. Such an incident is suspected to occur as a result of decreased immunity and increased ACE-2 receptors during pregnancy. Research shows that 15 out of 37 (47%) babies are born prematurely from COVID-19 patients, particularly in the first and third trimesters. Another research demonstrates that COVID-19 may also cause some emergency conditions in fetuses. The most common cause is hypoxia on the fetus, which calls for an emergency delivery. Purpose: There is still minimum research about the connection between preterm labor and COVID-19, to which this research is aimed to seek for its connection. Method: This research utilizes a retrospective analytical descriptive method with secondary data collection. The research is based on data collected from patient records, period 2020–2021, Mary Cileungsi Hospital. Results: Based on research on patient medical records at Mary Cileungsi Hospital for the 2020–2021 period, from 100 samples studied, there were 8 preterm deliveries and 24 aterm deliveries from 32 deliveries of positive COVID-19 pregnant women found that the p value = 0.014 <0.05. Conclusion: This research shows that there is significant correlation between preterm labor incidence with COVID-19. Keywords: COVID-19, Pregnant Women, Pregnancy, Preterm Delivery, ACE-2, Fetal Emergency, Fetal Hypoxia.
