Abstract
Constructivism theory is a theory that is familiar to the world of education, where constructivism is a philosophy of knowledge that emphasizes that our knowledge is our own construction (formation). In the context of educational philosophy, constructivism is an attempt to build a life structure that leads to modern culture. Constructivism focuses on the interaction of people and various situations in the acquisition and refinement of skills and knowledge. Constructivism has the same assumptions as social cognitive theory, namely that people, behavior, and the environment shall mutually interact. This paper shall describe how Christian Education utilises constructivist learning theory to create effective and independent learning, encourage learners to develop their own knowledge, and educators to be innovative in teaching.
