Abstract
The aims of this research were to analyze students' cognitive learning outcomes and students' Science Process Skills scores on environmental pollution material before and after the application of the Environmental Exploration Approach. The research method uses a pre-experimental design method with one group pre-test post-test. The study was carried out in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year from March to June 2021. The population of this study were students of class X MIPA SMA Budi Mulia Bogor with research classes X MIPA 2 and X MIPA 3. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. to analyze the difference in the mean of cognitive learning outcomes and students' Science Process Skills scores. The average scores of cognitive learning outcomes for the pre-test group is 72.38 and the post-test group is 86.25 with about 13.87 points. The mean Science Process Skills scores before and after the implementation of Environmental Exploration Approach were 108.06 and 110.29, respectively, with an increase in score of 2.23 points. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the mean scores of pre-test and posttest cognitive learning outcomes using the Environmental Exploration Approach where the Wilcoxon test showed Wcount = 58.8 < Wtable = 772, so Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted. Furthermore, there is no significant difference between the mean Science Process Skills scores before and after the application of the Environmental Exploration Approach to environmental pollution materials. This is evidenced by the Wilcoxon test which shows Wcount = 812 > Wtable = 772, so Ho is accepted and H1 was rejected.
