Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kualitas Khotbah Ibadah Minggu dengan minat beribadah mahasiswa yang tinggal di Asrama Yap Thiam Hien, Universitas Kristen Indonesia. Fenomena menurunnya partisipasi mahasiswa dalam mengikuti ibadah menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini, yang diduga dipengaruhi oleh kualitas isi Khotbah, cara penyampaian yang kurang menarik, serta relevansi materi Khotbah terhadap kehidupan sehari-hari mahasiswa. Dalam konteks pembinaan rohani di lingkungan asrama, Khotbah berperan penting membentuk sikap spiritual dan menumbuhkan minat beribadah secara konsisten. Penelitian ini memakai pendekatan kuantitatif dengan melakukan survei kepada 30 mahasiswa yang ditentukan melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas, di mana nilai Cronbach’s Alpha untuk variabel X mencapai 0,996 dan variabel Y sebesar 0,997, sehingga data yang dihasilkan dianggap akurat dan dapat dipercaya. Analisis dilakukan dengan regresi linier sederhana menggunakan SPSS versi 26. Hasil uji menunjukkan data tidak berdistribusi normal, tetapi memenuhi syarat untuk analisis parametrik. Hasil perhitungan korelasi Pearson memperlihatkan bahwa koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,999 dengan nilai signifikansi p = 0,000. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang sangat kuat dan berarah positif antara kualitas khotbah dan minat beribadah. Selain itu, besarnya koefisien determinasi (R²) yaitu 0,999 mengindikasikan bahwa variabel kualitas Khotbah mampu memberikan kontribusi sebesar 99,9% terhadap perubahan yang terjadi pada variabel minat beribadah. Persamaan regresi Y= 0,076 + 1, 160X menunjukan bahwa setiap peningkatan kualitas Khotbah berdampak signifikan pada minat beribadah. Kesimpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa peningkatan kualitas Khotbah baik dari segi isi, relevansi, maupun penyampaian sangat menentukan pembinaan Rohani, penguatan kualitas Khotbah partisipasi aktif mahasiswa, serta pengembangan penelitian lanjutan agar pelayanan rohani semakin efektif dan relevan./This study aims to determine the relationship between the quality of Sunday Worship Sermons and the interest in worship among students living in the Yap Thiam Hien Dormitory, Christian University of Indonesia. The phenomenon of declining student participation in attending worship is the background of this study, which is thought to be influenced by the quality of the Sermon content, the less interesting delivery method, and the relevance of the Sermon material to the students' daily lives. In the context of spiritual development in the dormitory environment, Sermons play an important role in shaping spiritual attitudes and fostering consistent interest in worship. This study uses a quantitative approach by conducting a survey of 30 students determined through a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument in the form of a questionnaire has undergone validity and reliability tests, where the Cronbach's Alpha value for variable X reached 0.996 and variable Y was 0.997, so that the resulting data is considered accurate and reliable. The analysis was carried out by simple linear regression using SPSS version 26. The test results showed that the data was not normally distributed, but met the requirements for parametric analysis. The results of the Pearson correlation calculation showed that the correlation coefficient (r) was 0.999 with a significance value of p = 0.000. This shows a very strong and positive relationship between the quality of sermons and interest in worship. In addition, the large coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.999 indicates that the variable of sermon quality is able to contribute 99.9% to the changes that occur in the variable of interest in worship. The regression equation Y = 0.076 + 1.160X shows that every increase in sermon quality has a significant impact on interest in worship. The conclusion of the study confirms that increasing the quality of sermons in terms of content, relevance, and delivery is very important for spiritual development, strengthening the quality of sermons, active student participation, and developing further research so that spiritual services are more effective and relevant.
