Abstract
Perencanaan unit mesin pendingin dilakukan dengan tujuan pengkondisian udara untuk menjaga temperatur ruangan supaya tetap konstan, yang bertujuan untuk menjaga kualitas produk yang dihasilkan, kenyamanan oleh orang-orang yang ada di dalam ruangan serta perlindungan mesin dan alat-alat tertentu yang membutuhkan temperatur yang stabil. Tugas akhir ini menjabarkan tentang analisa siklus termodinamika mesin chiller, menggunakan diagram p-h refrigerant R-134a serta perhitungan beban kalor ruangan gedung pabrik rokok kretek mesin, yang meliputi perhitungan beban kalor dalam ruangan diantaranya beban penghuni dan beban peralatan serta perhitungan beban kalor luar ruangan diantaranya beban radiasi sinar matahari, beban transmisi dinding, beban infiltrasi, beban ventilasi dan beban kebocoran saluran udara. Dari perhitungan didapat COP sebesar 4,62. Beban kalor ruangan sebesar 3759,54 kW. Dan kapasitas refrigerasi adalah 5600,4 kW dan daya kompresor 920 kW. Berdasarkan perhitungan yang diperoleh, kita bisa menentukan jenis dan spesifikasi peralatan unit mesin pendingin yang mampu melayani beban pendinginan dalam ruangan. Kata kunci: pengkondisian udara, beban kalor, mesin pendingin / The planning of a cooling machine unit is carried out with the aim of air conditioning to maintain a constant room temperature. This is intended to preserve the quality of the products produced, ensure the comfort of occupants inside the room, and protect machines and certain equipment that require stable temperature conditions. This final project describes the analysis of the thermodynamic cycle of a chiller machine using the p–h diagram of refrigerant R-134a, as well as the calculation of the cooling load of a cigarette factory building. The analysis includes the calculation of internal heat loads such as occupant loads and equipment loads, and external heat loads including solar radiation load, wall transmission load, infiltration load, ventilation load, and air duct leakage load. From the calculations, a coefficient of performance (COP) of 4.62 was obtained. The room cooling load was 3759.54 kW. The refrigeration capacity was 5600.4 kW, and the compressor power was 920 kW. Based on the results of these calculations, the appropriate type and specifications of the cooling machine unit capable of handling the indoor cooling load can be determined.
