Abstract
Penelitian ini membandingkan efektivitas antara dua metode penjadwalan pada proyek konstruksi gedung bertingkat, yaitu Critical Path Method (CPM) dengan Presedence Diagramming Method (PDM) terhadap waktu dan biaya. Studi kasus penelitian dilakukan pada proyek pembangunan gedung Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja (SATPOL PP) yang berlokasi di Jakarta Pusat. CPM dan PDM diterapkan untuk menganalisis aktivitas dalam proyek konstruksi, di mana CPM hanya mendukung hubungan ketergantungan Finish-to-Start (FS), sementara PDM memungkinkan penggunaan beragam jenis hubungan, seperti Start-to-Start (SS), Finish-to-Finish (FF), Start-to-Finish (SF), dan Finish-to-Start (FS). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif, di mana data mengenai durasi aktivitas dan biaya tenaga kerja dianalisis. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa PDM lebih efisien terhadap waktu karena berhasil mengurangi durasi proyek sebesar 18 hari lebih cepat dibandingkan dengan jadwal aslinya. Sementara, CPM justru memperpanjang durasi proyek menjadi 37 hari lebih lama dari jadwal asli. Dalam hal biaya, PDM jelas lebih ekonomis dengan total pengeluaran mencapai Rp. 7.200.739.532,59, lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan CPM yang mencatatkan biaya sebesar Rp. 7.429.539.532,59. Penghematan biaya ini dapat dicapai berkat kemampuan PDM dalam mendukung kegiatan tumpang tindih, hal ini merupakan sesuatu yang tidak dapat dilakukan oleh CPM. Pada intinya, PDM lebih efektif digunakan pada proyek dengan struktur jaringan kerja yang kompleks. Sebaliknya, CPM lebih cocok pada proyek sederhana dan tidak memerlukan penjadwalan yang rumit. Kata Kunci: Critical Path Method, Presedence Diagramming Method, penjadwalan proyek, efisiensi biaya, efisiensi waktu, manajemen konstruksi. / This study compares the effectiveness between two scheduling methods in multi storey building construction projects, namely the Critical Path Method (CPM) and the Presedence Diagramming Method (PDM) on time and cost. The research case study was carried out on the construction project of the Pamong Praja Police Unit (SATPOL PP) building located in Central Jakarta. CPM and PDM are applied to analyze activities in construction projects, where CPM only supports Finish-to Start (FS) dependency relationships, while PDM allows the use of various types of relationships, such as Start-to-Start (SS), Finish-to-Finish (FF), Start-to-Finish (SF), and Finish-to-Start (FS). This study uses a quantitative approach method, where data on the duration of activities and labor costs are analyzed. The results of the analysis show that PDM is more time-efficient because it has succeeded in reducing the project duration by 18 days faster compared to the original schedule. Meanwhile, CPM actually extended the project duration to 37 days longer than the original schedule. In terms of costs, PDM is clearly more economical with total expenditure reaching Rp. 7,200,739,532.59, lower than CPM which recorded costs of Rp. 7,429,539,532.59. These cost savings are achievable thanks to PDM's ability to support overlapping activities, something CPM cannot do. In essence, PDM is more effectively used in projects with complex network structures. In contrast, CPM is better suited to simple projects and does not require complicated scheduling.
