Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan abad ke-21 siswa kelas X di SMAN 19 Kota Bekasi dalam kegiatan praktikum pembuatan prototipe virus dengan memanfaatkan bahan daur ulang. Keterampilan abad ke-21 yang dimaksud meliputi kemampuan berpikir kritis, berpikir kreatif, komunikasi, dan kolaborasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 36 siswa kelas X.2 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket keterampilan yang diukur sebelum dan sesudah pelaksanaan praktikum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada seluruh aspek keterampilan abad ke-21 setelah kegiatan praktikum dilakukan. Rata-rata keterampilan siswa sebelum praktikum berada pada kategori cukup hingga baik, sedangkan setelah praktikum meningkat ke kategori sangat baik. Keterampilan kolaborasi mengalami peningkatan tertinggi dengan skor 85,55%, diikuti oleh keterampilan berpikir kreatif, komunikasi, dan berpikir kritis. Kegiatan praktikum dengan memanfaatkan bahan daur ulang terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan siswa secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa praktikum pembuatan prototipe virus dapat menjadi strategi pembelajaran yang relevan dan efektif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21 siswa. Kegiatan ini juga diharkan dapat menjadi dampak positif terhadap pemahaman konsep materi virus serta menumbuhkan kesadaran terhadap isu lingkungan melalui penggunaan bahan daur ulang./This study aims to analyze the 21st-century skills of grade X students at SMAN 19 Kota Bekasi in the practicum activity of making a virus prototype using recycled materials. The 21st-century skills in question include critical thinking, creative thinking, communication, and collaboration skills. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 36 grade X.2 students selected by purposive sampling. The research instrument was a skills questionnaire that was measured before and after the practicum was carried out. The results of the study showed an increase in all aspects of 21st-century skills after the practicum was carried out. The average student skills before the practicum were in the sufficient to good category, while after the practicum increased to the very good category. Collaboration skills experienced the highest increase with a score of 85.55%, followed by creative thinking, communication, and critical thinking skills. Project-based practicum activities using recycled materials have proven effective in improving students' skills as a whole. This study concludes that the practicum of making a virus prototype can be a relevant and effective learning strategy in developing students' 21st-century skills. This activity also has a positive impact on understanding the concept of virus material and raising awareness of environmental issues through the use of recycled materials.
