Abstract

Indonesia tengah menghadapi tantangan serius di sektor pertanian, antara lain krisis regenerasi petani, alih fungsi lahan, perubahan iklim, dan rendahnya adopsi teknologi modern. Mayoritas petani berusia di atas 43 tahun, sementara minat generasi muda terhadap dunia pertanian menurun drastis. Di sisi lain, pendidikan tinggi pertanian dinilai belum mampu menjawab tantangan ini akibat keterbatasan integrasi teknologi, infrastruktur yang kurang memadai, serta pendekatan pembelajaran yang belum responsif terhadap isu keberlanjutan. Sebagai respons terhadap permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini merancang Institut Teknologi Pertanian Modern Berbasis Kecerdasan Ekologi yang berlokasi di Kabupaten Cilacap. Konsep kecerdasan ekologi diterapkan melalui penggabungan teknologi cerdas seperti Internet of Things (IoT), otomatisasi, energi terbarukan, serta pemanfaatan big data dan sistem monitoring lingkungan, dengan prinsip-prinsip ekologi dan budaya lokal. Tujuannya adalah membangun sistem pendidikan dan riset pertanian yang adaptif, kontekstual, relevan dengan kondisi lapangan, serta mampu mendorong transformasi sektor pertanian secara menyeluruh di era digital dan krisis iklim. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui analisis deskriptif-komparatif terhadap dokumen nasional (RPJMN 2025–2029), studi literatur, serta observasi lapangan di Kecamatan Majenang. Rancangan arsitektur berfokus pada efisiensi energi, ventilasi silang, dan pencahayaan alami, serta mengadopsi material lokal seperti kayu dan bata. Motif batik lokal diterapkan pada fasad bangunan melalui susunan roster bata, sebagai representasi nilai budaya sekaligus elemen pasif penyaring cahaya dan udara. Penempatan ruang publik seperti masjid di area terdekat dengan masyarakat mencerminkan pendekatan ekologi budaya yang memperhatikan aspek spiritual, sosial, dan kearifan lokal. Hasil perancangan menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan kecerdasan ekologi mampu menjadi strategi transformatif dalam pendidikan pertanian, memperkuat ketahanan pangan, membangun kesadaran ekologis di kalangan generasi muda, serta mendukung agenda pembangunan rendah karbon dan transisi menuju ekonomi hijau yang berbasis ekosistem dan berkelanjutan./Indonesia is currently facing serious challenges in the agricultural sector, including a farmer regeneration crisis, land conversion, climate change, and low adoption of modern technologies. Most farmers are over 43 years old, while interest among younger generations in agriculture continues to decline. Meanwhile, higher agricultural education remains inadequate in addressing these issues due to limited technological integration, poor infrastructure, and learning approaches that are unresponsive to sustainability challenges. This research proposes the design of a Modern Agricultural Technology Institute Based on Ecological Intelligence, located in Cilacap Regency. The concept of ecological intelligence is implemented through integrating smart technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), automation, renewable energy, and the use of big data and environmental monitoring systems with ecological principles and local culture. The goal is to create an adaptive, contextual, and field-relevant agricultural education and research system to support transformation of the agricultural sector in the digital and climate crisis era. The study uses a qualitative method with descriptive-comparative analysis of national documents (RPJMN 2025–2029), literature review, and site observations in Majenang District. The architectural design focuses on energy efficiency, cross ventilation, and natural lighting, while using local materials such as wood and brick. Local batik patterns are applied to the building façade through brick rosters, symbolizing cultural values while functioning as passive filters for light and air. Public spaces like mosques are placed near residential areas, reflecting a cultural ecological approach that respects spiritual, social, and local wisdom values. The results show that ecological intelligence can be a transformative strategy for agricultural education, enhancing food security, raising ecological awareness among youth, and supporting low-carbon development and a sustainable, ecosystem-based green economy.
