Abstract

All countries must work together to address the challenges of climate change. Indonesia is one of the developing countries that contributes the most to greenhouse gas emissions. Through its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), it has committed to reducing its emissions by 29% independently and up to 41% with international support by 2030. This study aims to analyze the climate strategies and actions implemented by Indonesia in mitigating climate change as a form of implementing the NDC. Using the Green Theory approach, this study examines sustainability, ecological justice, environmental policies, and environmentally friendly technologies as the main variables that influence the success of NDC implementation. The results of this study show ways to increase public involvement in climate action, including improving domestic policies, increasing international collaboration, and promoting public education. Indonesia is considered capable of addressing climate change issues effectively and sustainably by implementing the NDC plan combined with Green Theory concepts.
