Abstract
Local Currency Settlement (LCS) comes as a payment system solution that allows transactions between the two countries using each country's local currency without having to convert into foreign currency. Indonesia and Thailand have implemented LCS to encourage the use of local currencies in cross-border transactions. The purpose of this research is to explain the cooperation and collaboration between Indonesia and Thailand in implementing a QR code-based cross-border payment system that creates more efficient and affordable transactions. This research uses the theory of international cooperation and the concept of digital economic diplomacy. This thesis uses qualitative research with primary data. The results of this study show that Indonesia and Thailand are trying to collaborate through the central banks of both countries, namely Bank Indonesia and Bank of Thailand, to implement QR code-based cross-border payments. This collaboration effort is an effective step in improving transaction efficiency and increasing the use of cross-border QR between Indonesia and Thailand with the positive impact of the results of this collaboration.
