Abstract

Climate change and global warming have become prominent global issues. Various countries have undertaken numerous mitigation efforts, one of which is the signing of the Paris Agreement. This agreement legally binds its signatory countries to commit collectively to tackling climate change. Germany, as one of the countries that signed the Paris Agreement, has established cooperation with Indonesia through the Forests and Climate Change (FORCLIME) program to support climate change mitigation. The FORCLIME program, focused on Central Sulawesi, has significant impacts in various sectors. This research aims to analyze the impact of Germany's environmental diplomacy on Indonesia through the FORCLIME program in Central Sulawesi. Utilizing the concept of environmental diplomacy as an analytical framework and a qualitative methodology based on primary and secondary data, this research finds that the FORCLIME program has positive impacts, particularly in supporting environmental conservation, increasing local community awareness of the importance of forests, and fostering sustainable economic growth. The program also contributes positively to local government policies in natural resource management. Keywords: Impact, Environmental Diplomacy, FORCLIME, Germany, Central Sulawesi
