Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi Desain Universal dalam meningkatkan kenyamanan dan aksesibilitas penumpang dengan berbagai spektrum di Terminal Giwangan sesuai dengan kemampuan fisiknya. Moda transportasi bus di Indonesia mengalami perkembangan signifikan, terutama setelah pandemi Covid-19. Penumpang bus meningkat tiga kali lipat pada tahun 2022 dibandingkan tahun 2020. Perkembangan fasilitas bus menuntut fasilitas umum yang mendukung, termasuk terminal bus. Pentingnya aksesibilitas terminal bagi semua penumpang dari berbagai spektrum dengan berbagai kemampuan fisiknya bahkan termasuk penumpang difabel. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain universal sebagai sebuah konsep untuk mendesain ruang bagi berbagai spektrum penumpang tanpa terkecuali. Penelitian ini akan mengevaluasi sejauh mana penerapan Desain Universal di Terminal Giwangan. Selain itu, penelitian ini akan mencari kriteria kenyamanan dari berbagai spektrum penumpang bus, dan kriteria tersebut dirumuskan menjadi wujud implementasi pada Terminal Giwangan untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan aksesibilitas penumpang di Terminal Giwangan. / This study aims to examine the implementation of Universal Design in enhancing the comfort and accessibility of passengers across various spectrums at Giwangan Terminal according to their physical capabilities. The bus transportation mode in Indonesia has seen significant development, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic. Bus passengers tripled in 2022 compared to 2020. The development of bus facilities demands supporting public facilities, including bus terminals. The importance of terminal ccessibility for all passengers from various spectrums with different physical abilities, including disabled passengers, is paramount. This study uses universal design as a concept to design spaces for all passenger spectrums without exception. This research will evaluate the extent of Universal Design application at Giwangan Terminal. Furthermore, this study will seek comfort criteria from various bus passenger spectrums, and these criteria are formulated into an implementation form at Giwangan Terminal to enhance passenger comfort accessibility at Giwangan Terminal.
