Abstract

Pendahuluan : Appendicitis akut merupakan suatu penyakit kegawatdaruratan bedah pada abdomen kuadran kanan bawah yang berpindah ke fossa iliaca kanan dengan manifestasi klinis berupa anoreksia, demam, dan nyeri tekan pada fossa iliaca kanan. Tujuan : Menerapkan sikap caring perawat dalam memberikan tindakan relaksasi nafas dalam untuk mengurangi kegawatan nyeri akut pada pasien appendicitis di IGD RS TK II Moh. Ridwan Meuraksa. Metode : Desain studi kasus yang digunakan melalui proses pendekatan analisa dengan metode deskriptif dan menggunakan dua pasien appendicitis. Studi kasus dilakukan selama 1 hari di IGD RS TK II Moh. Ridwan Meuraksa dengan gadar caring scale untuk menilai sikap caring dan verbal rating scale untuk mengukur skala nyeri. Hasil : Penerapan sikap caring perawat pada pasien pertama dan kedua menghasilkan nilai 181 dan 188 dengan kategori baik sedangkan pengukuran skala nyeri pada kedua pasien mengalami penurunan yaitu dari skala nyeri 10 menjadi skala nyeri 5 pada pasien pertama dan skala nyeri 7 pada pasien kedua. Kesimpulan : Pelaksanaan sikap caring perawat di instalasi gawat darurat sangat efektif dalam mengurangi rasa cemas pada pasien dan tindakan relaksasi nafas dalam sangat efektif untuk mengurangi kegawatan nyeri akut pada penyakit appendicitis. Kata kunci : Appendisitis Akut, Nyeri Akut, Ansietas, Sikap Caring , Relaksasi Nafas Dalam. / Introduction: Acute appendicitis is a surgical emergency disease in the right lower quadrant of the abdomen that moves to the right iliac fossa with clinical manifestations such as anorexia, fever, and tenderness in the right iliac fossa. Objective: Applying caring attitude of nurses in providing deep breath relaxation measures to reduce the severity of acute pain in appendicitis patients in emergency room hospital TK II Moh. Ridwan Meuraksa. Method: Case study design used through the process of analysis approach with descriptive method and using two appendicitis patients. The case study was conducted for 1 day in the emergency room of Tk II Moh hospital. Ridwan Meuraksa with gadar caring scale to assess caring attitude and verbal rating scale to measure the scale of pain. Result: The application of caring attitude of nurses in the first and second patients resulted in a value of 181 and 188 with both categories while the measurement of pain scale in both patients decreased from pain scale 10 to pain scale 5 in the first patient and pain scale 7 in the second patient. Conclusion: The implementation of caring attitude of nurses in the emergency department is very effective in reducing anxiety in patients and deep breath relaxation measures is very effective to reduce the severity of acute pain in appendicitis.
