Abstract

Tesis ini berjudul “Profesionalisme Guru PAK di Sekolah Kristen Kalam Kudus Padang”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat profesionalitas guru PAK di Sekolah Kristen Kalam Kudus (SKKK) Padang dan faktor-faktor pendukung mencapai profesionalitas guru PAK tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Data diperoleh dengan mengumpulkan hasil wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi langsung dan tidak langsung. Penelitian dilakukan selama dua (2) bulan terhitung sejak November sampai dengan Desember 2013. Adapun subjek penelitian adalah guru PAK dan Kepala Sekolah Kristen Kalam Kudus Padang, yang terdiri dari enam (6) orang guru PAK dan empat (4) orang kepala sekolah. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan teknik triangulasi yang dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi tersebut. Berdasarkan analisis data, temuan hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Umumnya, guru yang mengajar PAK di SKKK Padang bukan lulusan sarjana PAK; 2) Untuk meningkatkan kualitas sebagai seorang guru PAK Sekolah Kristen Kalam Kudus juga mengikuti KKG dan MGMP; 3) Guru PAK menggunakan metode mengajar yang bervariasi untuk mencapai pembelajaran PAK yang berkualitas. / This thesis titled "Professionalism of PAK Teacher at Kalam Kudus Christian School Padang." This study aimed to look at the professionalism of PAK teachers at Kalam Kudus Christian School (SKKK) Padang and proponent factors to support PAK teachers reaching professionalism. Research method used is qualitative research method. The data were obtained from interviews, documentation and direct as well as indirect observations. The study was conducted over two (2) months from November to December 2013 . The research objects were PAK teachers and Principals of Kalam Kudus Christian School Padang, which consists of six (6) PAK teachers and four (4) principals. Examination of the validity of the data is done by triangulation technique which was collected through interviews, documentation and observation. Based upon data analysis, the findings of the research are as follows: 1) averagely, teachers who teach PAK at SKKK Padang are not PAK graduated. 2) To improve the quality as PAK teachers at Kalam Kudus Christian School, the school also joined KKG and MGMP. 3) PAK teachers use varies teaching methods to achieve PAK learning quality.
