Abstract

Stabilisisasi pada tanah dapat dilakukan dengan alternatif cara mencampurkan bahan kimia pada tanah yang ingin di stabilisasi. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan stabilisasi kimia terhadap tanah lempung ekspansif dengan campuran gypsum. Gypsum yang digunakan adalah gypsum limbah renovasi di sekitar area Universitas Kristen Indonesia. Tanah yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tanah terganggu disturbed yang diambil dari kawasan proyek Meikarta Cikarang dan diberikan perlakuan penambahan kadar air optimum dari pengujian pemadatan agar kondisinya serupa dengan tanah tidak terganggu (undisturbed). Tanah dicampurkan dengan persentase gypsum 0%, 3%, 5%, 7%, 10% dari berat tanah kering lalu dilakukan proses pemadatan dari pemadatan diambil sampel yang selanjutnya akan diuji besar pengembangannya dengan metode free swell yang telah dimodifikasi. Setelah tanah mengalami pengembangan yang maksimal maka baru dilakukan pengujian konsolidasi dan ditinjau perubahan nilai koefisien konsolidasi (Cv) dan indeks pemampatan (Cc). Setelah dilakukan pengujian konsolidasi maka didapat nilai persentase gypsum efektif pada persentase 6% dengan nilai koefisien konsolidasi yaitu 0,00036 dan nilai indeks pemampatan 0,75. Kata kunci : gypsum, tanah lempung ekspansif, konsolidasi, koefisien kosnolidasi, indeks pemampatan. / Stabilization of the soil can be done by an alternative way of mixing chemicals in the soil to be stabilized. In this study chemical stabilization of expansive clay with gypsum mixture was carried out. Gypsum used is renovated waste gypsum around the area of Indonesian Christian University. The land used in this study is disturbed soils taken from Cikarang Meikarta project area and given optimum water content addition treatment from compaction testing so that conditions are similar to undisturbed soils. The soil is mixed with gypsum percentage of 0%, 3%, 5%, 7%, 10% and then the compaction process is carried out from compaction samples taken which will then be tested for swelling using the modified free swell method. After the land experiences maximum swelling, a consolidation test is carried out and a change in the value of the consolidation coefficient (Cv) and compression index (Cc) is reviewed. After the consolidation test, the percentage of effective gypsum is obtained 6% with a consolidation coefficient value of 0.00036 and a compression index value of 0.75.
