Abstract
Kerusakan perkerasan jalan di Indonesia disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya yaitu tergenangnya perkerasan jalan oleh air. Genangan air pada perkerasan jalan berasal dari beberapa sumber seperti genangan air akibat kerusakan sistem drainase jalan raya sehingga air dari drainase meluap menggenangi perkerasan, air laut yang sedang pasang menggenangi daratan (rob), dan genangan akibat air hujan itu sendiri. Sehingga dibutuhkan modifikasi pada campuran aspal yang dapat meningkatkan atau mempertahankan kekuatan nilai stabilitas dan kelelehannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berapa pengaruh penambahan belerang 3% dan plastik HDPE 2% pada rendaman aquades, air hujan, air selokan dan air laut untuk mempertahankan kekuatan nilai-nilai marshallnya. Hasil dari pengujian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan penambahan belarang 3% dan plastik HDPE 2% pada campuran benda uji terbukti lebih baik dalam mempertahankan kekuatan nilai stabilitas dan kelelehannya dibandingkan dengan benda uji tanpa penambahan belerang dan plastik HDPE pada jenis rendaman yang sama. Kata kunci : rendaman, belerang, HDPE, stabilitas, kelelehan. / Road pavement damage in Indonesia is caused by several factors, one of which is the inundation of road pavement by water. Water puddles on the road pavement come from several sources such as puddles caused by damage to the drainage system of the highway so that water from the overflow drainage inundates the pavement, tidal sea water inundate the land, and the puddle due to rain water itself. So that modifications to the asphalt mixture may be necessary to improve or maitain the stability and flow. This study aims to find out how the effect of 3% sulfur addition and 2% HDPE plastic on aquades immersion, rainwater, sewer water, to maintain the strength of its stability and flow values. The results of this test indicate that with 3% sulfur addition and 2% HDPE plastic in the mixture the specimen proved better in maintaining its stability and flow compared to the specimen without the addition of sulfur and HDPE plastics to the same immersion type.
