Abstract
Bahan material konstruksi jalan harganya semakin mahal, selain itu penambangan batu untuk agregat dan eksploitasi minyak bumi sebagai asal mula bitumen dapat menimbulkan masalah lingkungan baru, maka perlu diadakannya penelitian mengenai pemanfaatan kembali hasil limbah konstruksi jalan sebagai campuran agregat perkerasan yang baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pemanfaatan hasil limbah bongkaran perkerasan aspal sebagai pengganti agregat kasar perkerasan jalan baru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai VMA,VFA,VIM, Stabilitas,Kelelehan dan Marshall Quotient campuran perkerasan dengan limbah bongkaran aspal memenuhi persyaratan SNI 03 – 1737 – 1989. Penambahan belerang sebesar 75% terhadap filler abu batu dalam campuran perkerasan daur ulang menambah stabilitas sebesar 16,7 % dibandingkan campuran perkerasan daur ulang tanpa belerang. Selain itu perkerasan daur ulang ini dapat menghemat pemakaian aspal sebesar 30% dibandingkan dengan campuran perkerasan normal dan dapat digunakan sebagai bahan perkerasan alternatif.. Besides that, rock mining for material and exploitation of petroleum as the origin of bitumen may cause new environmental problems. It is necessary to conduct research on re-use road construction waste as new pavement aggregate mix. This study aims to test the utilization of waste asphalt pavement as a replacement of coarse aggregate of new road pavement. The results showed that the values of VMA, VFA, VIM, Stability, Flow and Marshall Quotient of pavement mixture with asphalt pavement waste fulfill the requirements of SNI 03 - 1737 – 1989. The addition of sulfur by 75% to the stone ash filler in the recycle pavement mixture increased stability by 16.7% compared to the mixture of recycled pavement without sulfur. In addition, this recycled pavement can save 30% asphalt usage compared to normal pavement mix and can be used as alternative pavement material.
