Abstract

PLTA Talawi direncanakan akan dibangun dalam memenuhi kebutuhan listrik Propinsi Maluku Utara. PLTA Talawi adalah suatu pembangkit listrik tenaga air yang mengandalkan sistem tampungan atau waduk. Salah satu bangunan terpentingnya adalah bendungan. Bangunan bendungan, dalam pembangunannya memiliki tingkat resiko yang tinggi. maka sebelum pembangunannya dilaksanakan, pengeringan tempat dimana bendungan itu akan dibangun menjadi faktor penting. Pengeringan dilaksanakan dengan membangun bendung elak serta terowongan elak yang akan menahan dan mengalihkan aliran sungai, yang kemudian setelah melewati tempat pembangunan bendungan, aliran air tersebut dialirkan lagi ke alur aliran sungai semula. Untuk maksud teresebut diperlukan. Penentuan dimensi terowongan elak sangat berkaitan dengan tinggi bendung elak, sehingga diperlukan optimasi dimensi terowongan elak, yang berkaitan dengan besarnya biaya yang harus dikeluarkan. Kata kunci: Terowongan elak, Bendung elak, Optimasi, PLTA Talawi. / Talawi hydropower planned to be built to meet the electricity needs of North Maluku. Talawi Hydropower is a reservoir systems type. One of the most important structure is the dam. Dam structure, its construction has a high degree of risk. then before construction is carried out, drying the place where the dam was to be built to be an important factor. Drying is carried out by building cofferdams and diversion tunnels that will hold and divert the flow of the river, which then once past the dam construction place, the water flow is channeled back into the flow of the original stream. For the purposes of that requirement. Determination of the dimensions of the tunnel is associated with high of cofferdam, requiring optimization of the dimensions of the diversion tunnel, relating to the costs to be incurred.
