Abstract

PERANCANGAN MESIN SNEY. Mesin sney adalah mesin pembuat ulir luar (outside thread). Dalam Bahasa Inggris dikenal dengan nama rolling dies. Bagian terpenting dari mesin sney ini adalah dies roller yang terbuat dari HSS. Perancangan mesin sney ini bertujuan untuk menggantikan system yang telah ada sebelumnya, yaitu pembuatan ulir secara manual dengan hand rolling dies. Pada awalnya dalam proses perancangan mesin sney ini, penulis melakukan observasi dengan browsing di internet dan juga melakukan wawancara pada orang yang berpengalaman di bidang ini. Hasil observasi tersebut dikombinasikan dengan keinginan customer. Setelah data tercukupi, dilakukanlah perhitungan elemen konstruksi sebagai dasar perancangan. Perhitungan elemen konstruksi yang ada dijadikan dasar disain konstruksi mesin sney. Hasil yang dicapai dari perancangan ini adalah sebuah mesin sney yang menggantikan proses pembuatan ulir secara manual. Kata kunci: perancangan, manual, dan mesin. / DESIGNING SNEY MACHINE. Sney machine is an outside thread maker machine. In English known as rolling dies. The most important part of this sney machine is roller dies are made of HSS. Sney machine design is aimed to replace the existing system, which is making screw manually with hand rolling dies. In designing this sney machine, author observes with browsing on the internet and also conducts interviews with experienced people in this field. Results of these observations combined with customer wishes. After the data is adequate, calculate the basic design elements of the construction. Calculation of construction element used as a basic design of sney machine construction. The result achieved from this design is a machine that replaces threaded process manually.
