Abstract

Saat ini perkembangan industri baja sedang mengalami kenaikan itu di buktikan dengan tingginya permintaan pasar khususnya untuk plate dan produksi coil, dengan tingginya permintaan pasar akan produk baja plate dan coil maka delay untuk proses produksi harus di tekan salah satu penyebab terjadi delay produksi adalah dengan gagalnya kinerja poros as roda gigi intermediate di mesin raffing mill pada proses produksi plate. Untuk menjaga agar tidak terjadi delay produksi khususnya pada roda gigi intermediate perlu di lakukan pengamatan dan pengecekan secara berkala memastikan roda gigi bekerja dengan baik dan menerima beban kerja sesuai dengan batas maksimum kekuatan bahan, hal ini penting agar dalam proses produksi plate dengan permintaan yang tinggi dapat terpenuhi. Roda gigi dalam mesin raffing mill di design dapat menerima beban dari motoran DC sebesar 300 kw dengan putaran 950 rpm yang terbuat dari baja karbon S45C dengan diameter 28.5 mm serta memiliki kekuatan tarik maksimum sebesar 52 kg/mm2. Kata kunci : Produksi , roda gigi , baja. / Currently the development of the steel industry is experiencing a rise was evidenced in the high market demand, especially for plate and coil production, with high market demand for steel plate and coil products, the delay to the production process must be in need in the press one of the cause of a delay production is with failure of performance gear intermediate axle shaft in the engine raffing plate mill in the production process. To guard against the delay of production, especially in the intermediate gears need to do observations and periodically checks to make sure the gear works well and accept the workload according to the maximum limit of the strength of materials, it is important that in the process of plate production with high demand can fulfilled. Gears in a machine raffing mill in design can accept a load of 300 kW DC motor with 950 rpm rotation made of S45C carbon steel with a diameter of 28.5 mm and has a maximum tensile strength of 52 kg / mm2 .
