Abstract

Fan adalah alat yang digunakan untuk mengalirkan fluida gas. Pada boiler, fan merupakan salah satu equipment critical yang menunjang kinerja boiler dalam memproduksi steam. Induced draft fan adalah salah satu equipment boiler yang berfungsi untuk mengalirkan flue gas panas hasil pembakaran batubara di furnace boiler menuju backpass lalu diteruskan menuju chimney. Untuk menjaga kehandalan induced draf fan, perlu dilakukan monitoring terhadap nilai vibrasi yang ditimbulkan oleh fan. Alat yang digunakan untuk pengambilan data vibrasi pada induced draft fan yaitu Easy-Viber Vibration Analyzer. Titik pengambilan data pada induced draft fan yaitu pada kedua bagian shaft fan yaitu Drive End (DE) dan Non Drive End (NDE), Pada sisi DE maupun NDE memiliki tiga titik pengambilan data yaitu titik Horizontal, titik Vertical dan titik Axial, begitupun pada bagian NDE. Dari hasil pengambilan data pada induced draft fan pada bagian DE Horizontal induce draft fan diketahui memiliki nilai overall vibrasi yang tinggi yaitu 6.14 mm/s2 RMS pada minggu ke-3 tanggal 22 November 2017. Dari hasil analisa spectrum vibrasi dapat disimpulkan bahwa fan mengalami unbalance, unbalance yang terjadi pada fan mempengaruhi nilai vibrasi menjadi tinggi, unbalance pada induced draft fan disebabkan oleh adanya akumulasi debu hasil pembakaran batubara atau bisa disebut sebagai flyash. Perbaikan yang dilakukan yaitu dengan cara cleaning impeller menggunakan air yang disemprotkan pada fan hingga bersih, tujuannya untuk menghilangkan flyash yang terakumulasi di fan dan dapat menurunkan nilai vibrasi pada induced draft fan. Perbaikan yang dilakukan dapat menurunkan nilai vibrasi pada induced draft fan yaitu menjadi 2.354 mm/s2 RMS. Dengan demikian dapat dibuatkan schedule cleaning pada induced draft fan secara berkala untuk menjaga performa fan dan mencegah terjadinya failure pada fan yang tidak terjadwal yang menyebabkan kerugian yang besar. Kata kunci : Cleaning, induced draft fan, vibrasi, velocity, enveloping. / Fan is a tool used to drain the gas fluid. In the boiler, the fan is one of the critical equipment that supports the performance of the boiler in producing steam. Induced draft fan is one of the boiler equipment that serves to drain the hot flue gas from the combustion of coal in the boiler furnace to the backpass and then forwarded to the chimney. To maintain the reliability of the induced draft fan, monitoring should be done to the vibration value generated by the fan. The tool used for vibration data stacking on the induced draft fan is the Easy-Viber Vibration Analyzer. The data retrieval point on the induced draft fan is on both parts of the fan shaft that is Drive End (DE) and Non Drive End (NDE). On the DE side and NDE has three data retrieval points, namely Horizontal point, Vertical point and Axial point, NDE. From the results of data retrieval on the induced draft fan on the DE part of Horizotal induced draft fan is known to have a high overall vibration value of 6.14 mm/s2 RMS on the 3rd week of 22 Novemvber 2017. From the analysis of vibrational spectrum can be concluded that fan experience unbalance, unbalance that occurs in the fan affect the value of vibration to be high, unbalance on induced draft fan caused by the accumulation of coal fired dust or can be called as flyash. Improvements are made by cleaning the impeller using water sprayed on the fan until clean, the goal is to remove the accumulated flyash in the fan and can reduce the vibration value on the induced draft fan. Improvements can reduce the vibration value of the induced draft fan to be 2.354 mm/s 2 RMS. Thus it can be made a schedule cleaning on the induced draft fan on a regular basis to maintain fan performance and prevent the occurrence of unscheduled fan failure that causes large losses.
