Abstract

Latar belakang: Coronavirus adalah virus RNA dengan ukuran partikel 120-160 nm. Penyakit ini pada awalnya dinamakan sebagai 2019 novel coronavirus (2019- nCoV) dan kemudian WHO mengumumkan nama baru yaitu Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) yang disebabkan oleh virus Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). Saat ini penyebaran SARS-CoV-2 dari manusia ke manusia menjadi sumber transmisi utama untuk penyakit COVID-19. Transmisi SARS-CoV-2 dari pasien simptomatik terjadi melalui droplet yang keluar saat batuk atau bersin. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan mahasiswa angkatan 2017 Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Kristen Indonesia tentang cara penularan dan pencegahan COVID-19. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan desain cross-sectional. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 83 orang dengan alat ukur kuesioner. Hasil: Mahasiswa kedokteran UKI angkatan 2017 memiliki tingkat pengetahuan (95.20%), sikap (92.80%) dan tindakan (80.70%) yang baik terhadap penularan dan pencegahan COVID-19. Kesimpulan: Secara keseluruhan, mahasiswa angkatan 2017 Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Kristen Indonesia memiliki pengetahuan, sikap, dan tindakan yang baik terhadap cara penularan dan pencegahan COVID-19. Kata Kunci : COVID-19, pengetahuan, sikap, tindakan. / Background: Coronavirus is an RNA virus with a particle size of 120-160 nm. Initially, the disease was temporarily named as 2019 novel coronavirus (2019- nCoV), then WHO announced a new name, namely Coronavirus Disease (COVID19) which is caused by a virus Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). At present, the spread of SARS-CoV-2 from human to human is the main transmission source. SARS-CoV-2 transmission from symptomatic patients occurs through droplets that come out when coughing or sneezing. Objective: to determine the level of knowledge, attitudes and practice of UKI medical students class of 2017 on modes of COVID-19 transmission and prevention. Method: This study uses a descriptive study with a cross-sectional design. Eighty three subject was eligible to this study, the data collected by questionnaires. Results: UKI medical students class of 2017 have a good level of knowledge (95.20%), attitude (92.80%) and practice (80.70%) towards COVID19’s transmission and prevention. Conclusion: Overall, UKI medical students class of 2017 have good knowledge, attitude, and practice towards on modes of COVID19 transmission and prevention.
