Abstract
Analisis Texture, Physical Test, dan Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) merupakan aspek penting dalam mengevaluasi unjuk kerja mesin fiber optic. Melalui analisis ini, kualitas produk fiber optic dapat diketahui untuk memastikan kehandalan jaringan komunikasi. Analisis Texture melibatkan pengamatan terhadap Texture permukaan, diameter serat, dan kualitas lapisan pelindung fiber optic. Hasil analisis Texture memberikan informasi tentang kekuatan, keawetan, dan daya tahan fiber optic. Physical Test mencakup pengukuran panjang serat, kecepatan produksi, dan redaman optik pada panjang gelombang tertentu. Panjang serat dan kecepatan produksi mengindikasikan sesuai tidaknya dengan spesifikasi yang diinginkan. Pengukuran redaman optik memberikan informasi tentang kualitas transmisi sinyal dalam fiber optic. Penggunaan OTDR sangat diperlukan dalam analisis unjuk kerja mesin fiber optic. OTDR digunakan untuk mengukur redaman dan kehilangan daya fiber optic. Dengan OTDR, dapat dilakukan pengukuran redaman fiber optic pada berbagai panjang gelombang, memungkinkan evaluasi yang komprehensif terhadap karakteristik transmisi fiber optic. Hasil analisis Texture, Physical Test dan penggunaan OTDR memberikan kesimpulan mengenai unjuk kerja mesin fiber optic. Jika hasil analisis menunjukkan kualitas yang baik, maka mesin dianggap handal dan sesuai standar. Jika tidak sesuai, diperlukan perbaikan atau penyesuaian pada mesin untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk. Penelitian ini membahasa pengujian dengan melihat perubahan temperatur dan kecepatan pada mesin produksi fiber optic. Temperatur diatur pada 145-150-155-140-110-125-130°C pada posisinya yang berbeda-beda sesuai dengan skema mesin. Pengaturan kecepatan diatur pada 90 m/menit, 100 m/menit dan 120 m/menit. Pengukuran temperature secara manual menggunakan termogun dilakukan pada masing-masing posisi unutk memastikan keakuratan temperature sementara temperature pada ruangan dicatat sebagai reverensi. Pengukuran hasil redaman dilakukan dengan cara menggunakan alat OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) sementara pengujian fisik dengan cara pengamatan visual. Hasil menyatakan bahwa penambahan temperatur dan kecepatan tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil redaman fiber optic melainkan hasil panjang fiber optic tersebut. Penambahan temperature akan menaikan panjang dari kabel fiber optic, sementara penambahan kecepatan pada mesin juga akan menambah panjang kabel walaupun tidak signifikan. Dalam kesimpulannya, analisis Texture, Physical Test dan penggunaan OTDR penting dalam mengevaluasi unjuk kerja mesin fiber optic. Dengan analisis yang rutin, produk fiber optic memenuhi standar kualitas, meminimalkan kerusakan pada kabel, dan sesuai dengan standar yang ditetapkan oleh ITU-T (International Telecommunication Union)./ Texture Analysis, Physical Test, and Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) are important aspects in evaluating the performance of fiber optic machines. Through these analyses, the quality of fiber optic products can be determined to ensure the reliability of communication networks. Texture Analysis involves observing surface texture, fiber diameter, and the quality of the fiber optic coating. The results of Texture Analysis provide information about the strength, durability, and resilience of the fiber optic. Physical Test includes measuring fiber length, production speed, and optical attenuation at specific wavelengths. Fiber length and production speed indicate whether they meet the desired specifications. Optical attenuation measurements provide information about the quality of signal transmission in fiber optics. The use of OTDR is crucial in analyzing the performance of fiber optic machines. OTDR is used to measure attenuation and power loss in fiber optics. With OTDR, attenuation measurements can be performed at various wavelengths, enabling comprehensive evaluation of the transmission characteristics of fiber optics. The results of Texture Analysis, Physical Test, and the use of OTDR provide conclusions about the performance of fiber optic machines. If the analysis indicates good quality, the machine is considered reliable and in compliance with the standards. If not, adjustments or improvements are needed to enhance product quality. This study discusses testing by examining temperature and speed variations in fiber optic production machines. The temperature is set at 145-150-155-140-110-125-130°C at different positions according to the machine scheme. Speed settings are adjusted to 90 m/min, 100 m/min, and 120 m/min. Manual temperature measurements using a thermogun are conducted at each position to ensure accuracy, while room temperature is recorded as a reference. Optical attenuation measurements are performed using an OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) tool, while physical testing is done through visual observation. The results indicate that temperature and speed changes do not affect the optical attenuation of the fiber optic, but they do affect the length of the fiber optic. Increasing temperature increases the length of the fiber optic cable, while increasing speed in the machine also slightly increases the cable length. In conclusion, Texture Analysis, Physical Test, and the use of OTDR are important in evaluating the performance of fiber optic machines. With routine analysis, fiber optic products meet quality standards, minimize cable damage, and comply with the standards set by the ITU-T (International Telecommunication Union).
