Abstract
Polusi udara merupakan salah satu penyebab timbulnya masalah kesehatan yang dihadapi oleh negara Indonesia. Polutan yang menyebabkan polusi udara, salah satunya adalah particulate matter dengan ukuran 10 mikron sampai 0,1 mikron. Polutan ini dapat mempengaruhi fisiologi organ paru sehingga menyebabkan nilai APE menjadi lebih buruk jika dihirup terus menerus. Pekerja luar ruangan yaitu pengemudi ojek online dan pedagang kaki lima merupakan pekerja yang sering terpapar oleh particulate matter ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan adanya perbandingan nilai arus puncak ekspirasi pada pengemudi ojek online dan pedagang kaki lima di Kelurahan Pakulonan Barat Kecamatan Kelapa Dua Kabupaten Tangerang Provinsi Banten. Penelitian ini bersifat analitik observasional, dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pedagang kaki lima memiliki nilai APE lebih buruk yaitu 366.4 L/menit dibandingkan dengan pengemudi ojek online dengan rata-rata nilai APE yaitu 414,6 L/menit dan p= 0,001 (p<0,05) yang berarti bahwa ada perbedaan bermakna antara nilai APE pada pedagang kaki lima dan pengemudi ojek online. Selain itu, ada faktor lain dalam penelitian ini seperti usia, suku, masa kerja, lama kerja dan kebiasaan menggunakan APD pada masing- masing pekerja. Saran: perlu dilakukan penyuluhan oleh pemerintah (puskesmas setempat) kepada masyarakat yang beraktifitas/ bekerja di jalan tentang pentingnya menjaga kesehatan (penggunaan masker yang benar, jenis masker, dan menjaga kesehatan fisik). One of the pollutants causing it is particulate matter with a size of 10 microns to 0.1 microns. This pollutant can affect pulmonary physiology, causing the peak expiratory flow rate to be worse if inhaled continuously. Outdoor workers such as online motorcycle taxi drivers and street vendors are workers often exposed to this particulate matter. This research aims to prove the existence of comparison of the peak expiratory flow rate of online motorcycle taxi drivers and street vendors in Pakulonan Barat Village, Kelapa Dua Subdistrict, Tangerang Regency, Banten Province. It is an analytic observational research with cross sectional approach. The findings revealed that street vendors had a worse PEF rate of 366.4 L/minute compared to online motorcycle taxi drivers with an average PEF rate of 414.6 L/minute and p = 0.001 (p < 0.05). It meant that there was a significant difference between the PEF rate of street vendors and online motorcycle taxi drivers. Moreover, there were other factors affecting this research such as age, ethnicity, years of service, length of employment, and habit of using personal protective equipment on each worker. It is suggested that it is necessary to provide counseling by the government (local public health center) to people who are active/working on the street about the importance of maintaining health (using the proper mask and types of mask, and maintaining physical health).
