Abstract

Gadget merupakan teknologi yang saat ini dibutuhkan.Gadget dapat ditemukan pada semua kalangan terutama mahasiswa.Selain memberi kemudahan, gadget dapat menimbulkan keluhan mata yang berbeda disetiap orang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran penggunaan gadget terhadap indeks prestasi akademik Mahasiwa Fakultas Kedokteran UKI angkatan 2015 serta melihat gambaran keluhan subjektif kelelahan mata akibat penggunaan gadget yang dilakukan pada bulan November 2018.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel terdiri dari semua mahasiswa FK UKI angkatan 2015 yang setuju untuk ikut serta dalam penelitian dan memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan mahasiswa dengan indeks prestasi 3,00 s.d. 3,99 dan dengan lama penggunaan gadget selama 6 jam adalah responden dengan jumlah terbanyak yaitu 52 mahasiswa. Keluhan yang paling banyak dirasakan responden selama penggunaan gadget adalah keluhan mata berair. Kata kunci: gadget, keluhan mata, indeks prestasi. / Gadget is a technology that is really important to have. Gadget can be found in our society, especially amongst student. Aside from convenience that they provide, gadget may be causing some eyes problem. The purpose of this study was to describe the uses of gadget towards batch 2015 FK UKI student’s grade point average conducted in November 2018. This study was a quantitative descriptive with a cross sectional approach. Sample of this study are all of the batch 2015 students of FK UKI that agreed to be involved and qualified for the inclusion criteria. The study showed that student with grade point average score ranging from 3,00 to 3,99 and with the total of 6 hours using gadget per day are the most significant with the total of 52 students. Type of eye problem that is significant is watery eyes. Key words: gadget, eye problems, grade point average
