Abstract

Penyakit diare adalah salah satu penyebab utama masalah kesehatan masyarakat dan merupakan salah satu penyebab kematian dan kesakitan tertinggi pada anak- anak khususnya anak usia dibawah 5 tahun atau biasa disebut balita (Bawah Lima Tahun) di negara berkembang, terutama Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kejadian diare dengan berat badan pa- da balita di Indonesia menggunakan desain cross sectional. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder, yaitu data Riskesdas 2013 dengan rin- cian kuesioner RKD13.IND. Data yang digunakan meliputi diagnosis diare dan berat badan pada balita di Indonesia. Hasilnya sebanyak 26201 balita di Indone- sia, sebesar 2713 balita (10,4%) yang terdiagnosis diare. Adapun berat badan pa- da balita di Indonesia yang terdiagnosis diare paling banyak adalah berat badan normal sebesar 1991 balita, berat badan sangat kurus dan kurus sebesar 416 balita, dan paling sedikit adalah berat badan gemuk sebesar 306 balita. Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara kejadian diare dengan berat badan pada balita di Indonesia, yaitu p sebesar 0,001 (p<0,05). Kata kunci : penyakit diare, berat badan, balita, Riskesdas. / Diarrheal diseases is one of the society’s main health problems causes and is one of the highest cause of death and illness in children, especially those under 5 years old or commonly known as toddlers in developing countries, especially Indonesia. The purpose of this under graduate thesis is to find the connection be- tween diarrhea with the body weight of toddlers in Indonesia using cross sec- tional design. The data used in this under graduate thesis are secondary data, that is Riskesdas 2013 with questionnaire details RKD13.IND. This data includ- ing diarrhea diagnosis and body weight of toddlers in Indonesia. The result is 26201 toddlers in Indonesia and 2713 toddlers diagnosed with diarrhea. As for the body weight of toddlers in Indonesia, who were diagnosed with diarrhea are normal weight as many as 1991 toddlers, very thin and thin weight as many as 416 toddlers, and the last is fat weight as many as 306 toddlers. There is a mean- ingful connection between diagnosed diarrhea with the body weight of toddlers in Indonesia, that is p = 0,001 (p<0,05).
