Abstract

Unilever Research Center merupakan salah satu fasilitas penting bagi terbentuknya produk berkualitas dan dapat diandalkan. Karena Research Center adalah fasilitas yang mewujudkan sebuah ide dan gagasan menjadi sebuah produk sample yang terus berkembang dengan melalu berbagai tahapan, hingga menjadi produk berkualitas yang siap diproduksi secara masal dan dapat dikonsumsi atau di gunakan masyarakat. Research Center merupakan salah satu sektor industri yang mempunyai peran dalam perencanaan produk sebelum di produksi secara masal di sebuat pabrik produksi. Salah satu lokasi pabrik produksi yang dimiliki oleh Unilever berada di wilayah industri Cikarang. Mayoritas bangunan pabrik produksi mempunyai bangunan yang sangat luas dan cenderung memiliki sedikit vegetasi di area sekitarnya, bangunan yang luas juga berdampak mengecilnya ruang resap air. Pendekatan Arsitektur untuk menngatasi masalah ini adalah “Eco Design Concept”. Konsep ini dinilai cocok karena terfokus pada kawasan yang ramah lingkungan dan hemat energi, melakukan analisa terhadap site lokasi untuk mendapatkan konsep ramah lingkungan dan energi terbarukan, menentukan massa bentuk yang cocok dengan pendekatan Eco Design Concept. Dilakukan pula tinjauan mengenai aktifitas, peralatan, keseslamatan dan kebutuhan pengguna dalam mengoperasikan research center. Kemudian dilakukan pendekatan melalui analisa aspek-aspek perencanaan dan perancangan arsitektur untuk mendapat program ruang dan konesp-konsep perancangan Research Center yang pada akhirnya diaplikasikan ke dalam desain yang dipresentasikan ke dalam bentuk gambar-gambar arsitektur. Kata Kunci : Unilever Research Center, Research Center, Cikarang , Eco Design Concept. / Unilever Research Center is one of the important facilities for the formation of quality and reliable products. Because the Research Center is a facility that embodies ideas and ideas into a sample product that continues to develop through various stages, until it becomes a quality product that is ready to be mass produced and can be consumed or used by the public. The Research Center is an industrial sector that has a role in product planning before it is mass produced at a production plant. One of the production plant locations owned by Unilever is in the Cikarang industrial area. The majority of production plant buildings have very large buildings and tend to have little vegetation in the surrounding area, large buildings also have a smaller impact on the water absorbing space. The Architectural Approach to overcome this problem is the "Eco Design Concept". This concept is considered suitable because it focuses on areas that are environmentally friendly and energy efficient, conducts an analysis of site locations to get the concept of environmentally friendly and renewable energy, determines the mass of form that matches the Eco Design Concept approach. An overview of the activities, equipment, safety and user needs in operating the research center was conducted. Then an approach is made through an analysis of aspects of architectural planning and design to get a space program and the design concepts of the Research Center which are eventually applied to the design presented in the form of architectural drawings.
