Abstract

JSH270C (SPHC) merupakan jenis baja yang dikenal dengan kekuatan yang sangat tinggi, kemampuan pengerasan yang baik, ketangguhan, keuletan, dan daya tahan yang tinggi. Pada tugas akhir ini, penulis meneliti pengaruh waktu penahanan selama proses tempering pada temperatur konstan terhadap baja karbon rendah JSH270C (SPHC). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif, dengan menggabungkan pendekatan deskriptif dan studi eksperimental. Pengujian yang dilakukan meliputi pengamatan struktur kristal menggunakan difraktometer sinar-X, dan melakukan uji kekerasan dan uji tarik dengan metode Brinell. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa kekerasan material meningkat dari 96,99 HB menjadi 116,27 HB setelah proses quenching dengan oli, tetapi menurun secara signifikan menjadi 86,21 HB setelah temper pada suhu 400°C selama 1 jam. Ukuran kristal berkurang dari 11,721 nm menjadi 9,877 nm setelah 3 jam tempering. Selain itu, kerapatan dislokasi meningkat dari 0,048 garis/mm² menjadi 0,339 garis/mm² setelah 3 jam tempering, dan regangan kisi meningkat dari 0,024 ε menjadi 0,065 ε setelah 1 jam tempering. Kata Kunci: JSH270C(SPHC),tempering,kekerasan,struktur kristal,quenching. / JSH270C (SPHC) is a type of steel known for its very high strength, good hardenability, toughness, ductility, and high durability. In this final project, the author examines the effect of holding time during the tempering process at a constant temperature on JSH270C (SPHC) low carbon steel. This study employs quantitative research methods, combining descriptive approaches and experimental studies. The tests include observing the crystal structure using an X-ray diffractometer, and conducting hardness and tensile tests using the Brinell method. The results show that the hardness of the material increased from 96.99 HB to 116.27 HB after the quenching process with oil, but significantly decreased to 86.21 HB after tempering at 400°C for 1 hour. The crystal size reduced from 11.721 nm to 9.877 nm after 3 hours of tempering. Additionally, the dislocation density increased from 0.048 lines/mm² to 0.339 lines/mm² after 3 hours of tempering, and the lattice strain rose from 0.024 ε to 0.065 ε after 1 hour of tempering.
