Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi di era digitalisasi saat ini mengubah pola dan aktivitas komunikasi yang tidak terbatas ruang dan waktu yang berhasil mengubah usaha merebut perhatian masyarakat oleh berbagai media termasuk televisi. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan TVRI sebagai satu-satunya TV nasional RI turut merasakan dampaknya. TVRI sebagai Lembaga Penyiaran Publik memutuskan mulai melakukan rebranding untuk mengikuti perubahan teknologi saat ini dan mengubah tampilan lebih kekinian. Berdasarkan hal tersebut peneliti tertarik untuk mengetahui gambaran strategi rebranding yang dilakukan bagian Kelembagaan Hukum dan Humas LPP TVRI Pusat dalam membantu mengubah citra LPP TVRI. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan model komunikasi SMCR dan analisis SWOT untuk membantu peneliti dalam menganilisis strategi yang dilakukan bagian Kelembagaan Hukum dan Humas LPP TVRI Pusat dalam membantu mengubah citra LPP TVRI. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk mendapatkan data deskriptif, dimana data diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara semi-terstruktur. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dari data tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang dilakukan oleh bagian Kelembagaan Hukum dan Humas dalam membantu rebranding untuk mengubah citra LPP TVRI adalah dengan menggunakan sosialisasi secara langsung dan juga menggunakan media internal maupun eksternal sebagai media publikasi. Kata kunci : Rebranding, Model Komunikasi SMCR, Strategi Humas, Citra. / The technological development in the era of digitalization is currently changing the patterns and activities of communication that are not limited to space and time that have succeeded in changing the effort to attract people's attention by various media including television. This resulted in TVRI as Indonesian National TV to feel the impact. TVRI as a Public Broadcasting Institution decided to start rebranding to keep up with current technological and change the appearance more present. Based on this, the researchers were interested to knowing the description of the rebranding strategy carried out by the Institutional Law and Public Relations Section of TVRI head office in helping changing the image of LPP TVRI. In this study researchers used the SMCR communication model and SWOT analysis to assist researchers in analyzing the strategies carried out by the Institutional Law and Public Relations section of TVRI in helping changing the image of LPP TVRI. This study uses a qualitative approach to obtain descriptive data, where data is obtained through semi-structured observation and interviews. Data analysis is done through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions from the data. The results showed that the strategy carried out by the Institutional Law and Public Relations section in helping rebranding to changing the image of LPP TVRI was to use socialization directly and also use internal and external media as publication media.
