Abstract

Kapasitor bank adalah sebuah alat untuk meningkatkan faktor daya. Tetapi penggunaan kapasitor bank menimbulkan masalah dalam pengoperasian kapasitor yang biasa disebut dengan pensaklaran kapasitor (capacitor bank switching) berupa tegangan lebih sesaat (transient overvoltage). Untuk mengetahui adanya transient overvoltages dan pengaruhnya terhadap kualitas daya listrik di Favehotel LTC Glodok maka dibuatlah simulasi capacitor bank switching menggunakan software Matlab Simulink R2016a dan melakukan analisa terhadap transient overvoltages. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa overvoltages paling tinggi sebesar 138% pada skenario 1 dan 2 dan paling minumum sebesar 108%.
