Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji penerapan Pendidikan Agama Kristen sebagai strategi misi yang efektif dalam membantu Orang dengan Gangguan Jiwa (ODGJ) mencapai pemulihan kesehatan mental dan spiritual mereka. Dalam konteks ini, strategi misi gereja, terutama saat menghadapi ODGJ, menjadi fokus utama penelitian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana pelayanan dan pendekatan yang seimbang dan holistik, yang didasarkan pada iman Kristen, dapat menjadi landasan penting dalam upaya membantu ODGJ. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan studi kasus dengan data yang dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen terkait program Pendidikan Agama Kristen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ini memiliki potensi untuk menjadi instrumen efektif dalam pemulihan ODGJ, memperkuat kesehatan mental dan spiritual mereka. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan yang berharga bagi institusi pemulihan jiwa, gereja, dan pihak terkait lainnya yang ingin mengembangkan strategi misi yang inklusif dan efektif untuk ODGJ. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya pelatihan khusus bagi pendidik agama Kristen yang bekerja dengan ODGJ, serta kolaborasi yang lebih erat antara komunitas gereja dan lembaga pemulihan jiwa untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan ODGJ. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa Pendidikan Agama Kristen dapat menjadi aset berharga dalam pemulihan ODGJ dengan pendekatan yang komprehensif. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Agama Kristen, Strategi misi, ODGJ. / This study examines the application of Christian Religious Education as an effective mission strategy in helping People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ) achieve recovery of their mental and spiritual health. In this context, the church's mission strategy, especially when dealing with ODGJ, is the main focus of research. This research aims to understand how a balanced and holistic ministry and approach, grounded in the Christian faith, can be an important cornerstone in efforts to help ODGJ. The research method used is a case study approach with data collected through interviews, observations, and analysis of documents related to Christian education programs. The results suggest that this approach has the potential to be an effective instrument in ODGJ recovery, strengthening their mental and spiritual health. These findings provide valuable insights for soul restoration institutions, churches, and other stakeholders seeking to develop inclusive and effective mission strategies for ODGJ. The practical implications of this research are the need for specialized training for Christian religious educators working with ODGJ, as well as closer collaboration between church communities and soul restoration institutions to improve ODGJ's well-being. This research confirms that Christian Religious Education can be a valuable asset in the recovery of ODGJ with a comprehensive approach. Keywords: Christian Education, Mission strategy, ODGJ
