Abstract

Ketika Suriah berhasil dikuasai oleh Daesh, berbagai kalangan dari Suriah dan Irak berbondong-bondong meninggalkan negara mereka untuk mencari keselamatan di negara lain. Namun, pada saat yang bersamaan, puluhan ribu orang justru datang ke Suriah dan Irak dari berbagai negara untuk hidup dalam Kekhalifahan Daesh. Tulisan ini menganalisis bagaimana Daesh melakukan pendisiplinan kebenaran dengan dua wajah kekuasaan, yaitu yuridis dan biopower, hingga akhirnya mampu mendapatkan dukungan yang besar, dengan menggunakan pandangan Michel Foucault mengenai biopower dan pandangan Manuel Castells mengenai proyek identitas. Tulisan ini menemukan bahwa era masyarakat jaringan ini memperluas dan mempermudah cara penyebaran pengetahuan, sehingga terjadi radikalisasi dalam skala yang belum pernah dilihat sebelumnya. Keadaan ini memberikan tanggung jawab yang lebih lagi bagi kontra-terorisme untuk menghindari hal serupa terjadi kembali. Kata Kunci: Daesh; Radikalisasi; Sosial Media; Biopower. / When Daesh managed to take over Syria and Iraq, waves of refugees hastily left their country to seek safety in other countries. However, at the same time that the world witnessed what is to be known as the European Migrant Crisis, thousands of people willingly left their countries and came to Syria and Iraq to live under the rule of the so-called Caliphate. This paper analyzes how Daesh successfully disciplined their “truth” through two faces of power, juridical and biopower, so much so that they could garner massive support, by using Michel Foucault’s theory on biopower and Manuel Castells’s concept of project identity. This writing finds that this network society enables the dissemination of knowledge, leading to radicalization on a scale never before seen. This is another burden for counter-terrorism that they must bear to prevent another mass radicalization from ever happening again. Keywords: Daesh; Radicalization; Social Media; Biopower
