Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi komunikasi politik Wayan Surya Utama pada Pemilu DPRD Tingkat Kabupaten/Kota di Lampung Timur Dapil Empat (4), serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat strategi komunikasi politik Wayan Surya Utama. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori khalayak kepala batu, dengan metode pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara semi terstruktur dan wawancara tidak terstruktur. Narasumber pada penelitian ini terdiri dari 13 orang yaitu: calon legislatif Wayan Surya Utama, Ketua Tim Sukses Wayan Surya Utama, salah satu anggota Partai PDIP, dan 5 orang warga Desa Labuhan Ratu, dan 5 orang Warga Desa Sumur Kucing. Hipotesis diformulasikan dan diuji menggunakan Triangulasi Data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi politik yang paling efektif yang dijalankan oleh Wayan Surya Utama adalah komunikasi politik antar pribadi. Kemudian faktor pendukung strategi komunikasi politiknya ialah pemilihan media komunikasi yang tepat dan citra keluarga dan Wayan Surya Utama yang dikenal baik oleh warga. Sedangkan, faktor penghambatnya ialah tindakan anarkis dari warga yang tidak mendukung Wayan Surya Utama, dan Money Politic yang dijalankan oleh caleg lain. Kata Kunci : Strategi, komunikasi politik, Calon Legislatif, Kabupaten, dan Daerah pemilihan. / This research aims to analyze Wayan Surya Utama's political communication strategy in the Public Elections of Regional Representative Council for East Lampung Constituency Four (4), as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors of Wayan Surya Utama's political communication strategy. This research uses the theory of obstinate audiences, with a qualitative approach method. Collecting data using semi-structured interview techniques and unstructured interviews. The informants of this research consisted of 13 people : legislative candidate Wayan Surya Utama, the Campaign Director, a member of the PDIP Party, and 5 residents of Labuhan Ratu Village, and 5 residents of Sumur Kucing Village. Hypotheses were formulated and tested using Data Triangulation. The results of this research indicate that the most effective political communication strategy carried out by Wayan Surya Utama is interpersonal political communication. Then the supporting factors for the political communication strategy are the selection of the right communication media and the image of the family and Wayan Surya Utama who are well known by the residents. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are the anarchic actions of residents who do not support Wayan Surya Utama, and Money Politic which is run by other candidates.
