Abstract

Wali kelas tentunya memainkan peran penting dalam mengelola kelas, membimbing siswa secara akademis dan sosial, memantau perkembangan, memberikan motivasi dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang positif. Sekolah berasrama memiliki tantangan yang berbeda dengan sekolah yang tidak berasrama terkhusus pada peran wali kelasnya. Melalui studi analisis peran wali kelas terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik di SMA Kristen Barana diharapkan para wali kelas mampu mengemban tugas dan tanggung jawabnya yang berdampak positif bagi peserta didiknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif holistic dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dari penelitian ini yaitu wawancara dan dokumentasi yang mengambil subjek kepada seluruh wali kelas X dan pesera didik kelas X. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini bahwa peran wali kelas terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik di SMA Kristen Barana’ sudah sangat maksimal dengan program kegiatan yang diciptakan juga melibatkan wali kelas dan peserta didik dengan harapan wali kelas mampu meluangkan waktunya. Kata Kunci : Wali kelas, Motivasi, Hasil belajar. / Homeroom teachers certainly play an important role in managing the classroom, guiding students academically and socially, monitoring progress, providing motivation and creating a positive learning environment. Boarding schools have different challenges from non-boarding schools, especially in the role of homeroom teachers. Through a study analysing the role of homeroom teachers on students' motivation and learning outcomes at Barana Christian High School, it is hoped that homeroom teachers will be able to carry out their duties and responsibilities that have a positive impact on their students. This research uses a holistic descriptive method using a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques of this research are interviews and documentation which take the subject to all homeroom teachers of class X and class X students. The results obtained from this study that the role of homeroom teachers on the motivation and learning outcomes of students at Barana' Christian High School is very maximum with the activity programme created also involving homeroom teachers and students with the hope that homeroom teachers are able to spare their time.
