Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis terjemahan bahasa Indonesia dari idiom murni bahasa Inggris dan strategi penerjemahan yang digunakan dalam menerjemahkan idiom murni bahasa Inggris dalam subtitle serial film Loki. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif karena penulis menggunakan strategi penerjemahan untuk mengetahui strategi yang digunakan dalam subtitle film seri Loki. Sumber data yang digunakan penulis adalah naskah Inggris dan naskah Indonesia dari subtitle dalam serial film Loki untuk menganalisis strategi penerjemahan idiom murni. Penulis melakukan beberapa langkah untuk melakukan penelitian yaitu mengunduh transkrip bahasa Inggris dari blog “scrap from the loft,” menonton semua episode serial film Loki di platform Disney+, membaca transkrip dalam bahasa Inggris, dan memilih data idiom murni dan strategi penerjemahan terjemahan bahasa indonesia dari subtitle bahasa indonesia dari Disney+, penulisan data dalam tabel berdasarkan idiom murni dan strategi jenis penerjemahan, dan penulisan hasil analisis sebagai Skripsi. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan dua jenis strategi penerjemahan idiom murni pada total 1 data yang mengandung idiom yang memiliki makna yang sama tetapi bentuk yang berbeda dan 40 data yang mengandung terjemahan dengan parafrase. Strategi penerjemahan yang sering diterapkan adalah menggunakan idiom yang mirip maknanya tetapi bentuknya berbeda dan penerjemahan dengan parafrase. Penulis berharap peneliti lain dan mahasiswa yang tertarik untuk menganalisis idiom murni dapat menggunakan penelitian ini sebagai referensi dan dapat menggunakan subjek lain seperti novel, puisi, dan lagu. / This study aims to find out and analyze the Indonesian translation of English pure idioms and the translation strategies used in translating the English pure idioms in the subtitle of the Loki movie series. This type of research is qualitative descriptive because the writer uses a translation strategy to find out the strategy used in the subtitles of the Loki movie series. The data sources used by the writer are English scripts and Indonesian scripts from subtitles in the Loki movie series to analyze the translation strategies of pure idioms. The writer takes several steps to conduct the research are downloading the English transcript from the blog “scraps from the loft,” watching all episodes of the Loki movie series on the Disney+ platform, reading the transcript in English, and selecting pure idiom data and translation strategies in Indonesian translation from Indonesian subtitles from Disney+, writing the data in the table based on pure idioms and types of translation strategies, and writing the results of the analysis as Skripsi. The results of this study found two types of translation strategies of pure idioms in a total of 1 data that contain using an idiom of similar meaning but dissimilar form and 40 data that contain translation by paraphrase. The translation strategy often applied is using an idiom of similar meaning but dissimilar form and translation by paraphrase. The writer hopes that other researchers and college students who are interested in analyzing pure idioms can use this research as a reference and can use other subjects such as novels, poetry, and songs.
