Abstract
Sumber energi terbarukan salah satunya adalah mikrohidro dimana mikrohidro sendiri merupakan sumber energi yang memanfaatkan air sebagai pembangkit listrik, menggantikan penggunaan bahan bakar fosil. Dalam proses perancangan dan pembangunan pembangkit listrik mikrohidro, langkah awal akan dimanfaatkan untuk studi potensi pada objek air guna mendapatkan data potensi energi yang akan dirancang. Dari data yang di dapat melalui observasi di Desa Bidihunga, Kecamatan Lewa, Kabupaten Sumba Timur dengan debit air 100 m3/detik dan ketinggiaan air 174 m, berdasarkan aliran air dan ketingian jatuh air maka jenis turbin yang dipilih yaitu turbin jenis pelton sebagai pembangkit tenaga pengerak untuk menghasilkan energi listrik. dari hasil perhitungan maka di peroleh daya yang dihasilkan oleh pembangkit listrik tenaga mikroihidro ini sebesar 138 kW. Kata kunci: energi listrik, PLTMH, energi terbarukan, daya yang di hasilkan. / Microhydro energy source is a renewable energy source that utilizes water as a power plant, replacing the use of fossil fuels. During the planning and construction phases of a micro-hydro power plant, The first step is to study the potential of water objects with the aim of obtaining data on the energy potential to be designed. From the data obtained through observation in Bidihunga Village, Lewa District, East Sumba Regency with a water discharge of 100 m3/second and a water fall height of 174 m, based on water discharge and water fall height, the type of turbine chosen is the Pelton turbine type as a power generator. drive to generate electricity.
