Abstract

Sistem tahanan pentanahan yang kurang baik perancangannya dapat menyebabkan kerusakan dan kehausan pada perangkat elektronik. Resiko yang terjadi adalah jika terjadi arus lebih akibat sambaran petir menyebabkan kerusakan pada bangunan dan peralatan oleh sebab itu arus dan tegangan transien dari petir perlu disalurkan ke bumi agar tidak terjadi kerusakan. Semakin kecil nilai tahanan yang di dapat pada perangkat pentanahan maka semakin baik juga sistem pentanahannya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendapatkan tahanan pentanahan sekecil mungkin sehingga sesuai dengan standar yang disyaratkan. Metode pemasangan elektroda spiral mendatar kedalam tanah yang digunakan adalah untuk memperkecil nilai tahanan pentanahan. Nilai tahanan pentanahan sangat di pengaruhi oleh nilai tahanan jenis tanah, sehinggu perlu di lakukan pengukuran secara akurat dari karakteristik tanah, yang biasa di lakukan pada bangunan menara transciever dengan model BC Spiral mendatar. Dari hasil analisa pada menara transciever di peroleh nilai tahanan pentanahan sebesar 0,26 Ohm sementara nilai standar PUIL 2000 yaitu < 5 Ohm sehingga hasil pengukuran yang dihasilkan pada menara transciever (BTS) dengan model BC Spiral mendatar masih memenuhi syarat yang disarankan. / An improperly designed grounding resistance system can cause damage and wear and tear on electronic devices. The risk that occurs is that if there is an overcurrent due to a lightning strike, it will then be channeled to earth so that the installed equipment does not get damaged. The smaller the value obtained for each grounding device, the better the grounding system will be. The research objective is to obtain the smallest possible grounding resistance so that it meets the required standards. The method used is to minimize the value of grounding resistance by planting an electrode into the ground. The value of grounding resistance is greatly influenced by its resistivity value, so it is necessary to accurately measure the characteristics of the soil, which is usually done in BTS tower buildings with the BC Spiral model. From the results of the analysis on the BTS tower, a grounding resistance value of 0.26 Ohm is obtained, while the PUIL 2000 standard value is < 5 Ohm, so the measurement results produced on the BTS tower with the BC Spiral model still meet the recommended requirements.
