Abstract

Asma adalah penyakit kronis pada paru-paru akibat adanya obstruktif jalan napas disertai adanya sekret di bronkus yang bersifat reversibel karena reaksi hipersensitivitas. Penderita asma di Indonesia cukup tinggi, berdasarkan informasi yang didapatkan oleh Riset Kesehatan Dasar 2018 menunjukan persentase penyakit asma sebagai urutan yang pertama pada penyakit yang tidak menular di Indonesia sebesar 2,4% dengan persentase angka kekambuhan mencapai 57,5% dalam 12 bulan terakhir. Paparan rokok terhadap anak-anak meningkatkan risiko mereka untuk terkena asma. Perkiraan terdapat 1.3% hingga 8.2% kasus asma pada anak-anak yang disebabkan oleh paparan asap rokok. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan cross sectional dan non-intervensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan (p value = 0.010) antara hubungan paparan merokok dengan kejadian asma pada anak. Anak-anak yang terkena asap rokok 0,89 kali lebih berisiko untuk mengalami asma. Disimpulkan bahwa paparan asap rokok merupakan faktor risiko dari kejadian asma pada anak. Kata kunci : Asma pada anak, Paparan asap rokok / Asthma is a chronic disease of the lungs due to airway obstruction accompanied by secretions in the bronchi which are reversible due to hypersensitivity reactions. Asthma sufferers in Indonesia are quite high, based on information obtained by the 2018 Basic Health Research shows the percentage of asthma as the first rank in non-communicable diseases in Indonesia at 2.4% with a percentage of recurrence rates reaching 57.5% in the last 12 months. Children's exposure to smoking increases their risk of developing asthma. It is estimated that 1.3% to 8.2% of asthma cases in children are caused by exposure to cigarette smoke. The research design was cross sectional and non-interventional. The results showed that there was a significant association (p value = 0.010) between smoking exposure and the incidence of asthma in children. Children exposed to cigarette smoke were 0.89 times more at risk of developing asthma. It was concluded that exposure to cigarette smoke is a risk factor for asthma in children.
