Abstract

Komposit adalah gabungan antara dua bahan atau lebih yang memiliki sifat yang berbeda sehingga menjadi suatu material yang baru dengan sifat yang berbeda. Dimana bahan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah serat ijuk dan dempul polyester. Komposit memiliki sifat tahan karat, tahan lama dan sagat kuat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kekuatan tarik, menganalisa permukaan spesimen dengan menggunakan scanning electron microscop, serta mampu mengurangi temperatur pada ruangan kendaraan mobil. Pada pembuatan spesimen uji tarik komposit mengacu pada standar A370 dengan ukuran 200 mm x 20 mm x 3 mm. Pada pengujian tarik diperoleh rata-rata tegangan maksimum 0,769 kgf/cm2 dan rata-rata tegangan luluh sebesar 0,755 kgf/cm2. Pada kalorimeter menggunakan standar pengujian ASTM D5865. Maka dari pengujian kalor diperoleh tinggi kalor yang diserap 20,8269 oC, sedangkan pada pengujian scanning electron microscop menggunakan standar pengujian ASTM E673pembesaran 1000 kali. Keywords: komposit,uji tarik, Kalorimeter, SEM, serat alam, serat ijuk. / Composite is a combination of two or more materials that have different properties so that it becomes a new material with different properties. Where the materials used in this study were fiber and polyester putty. Composites are rust-resistant, durable and very strong. The purpose of this study was to determine the tensile strength, analyze the surface of the specimen using a scanning electron microscope, and be able to reduce the temperature in the car room. In the manufacture of composite tensile test specimens, it refers to the A370 standard with a size of 200 mm x 20 mm x 3 mm. In the tensile test, the average maximum stress was 0.769 kgf/cm2 and the average yield stress was 0.755 kgf/cm2. The calorimeter uses the ASTM D5865 testing standard. So from the heat test, the absorbed heat is 20.8269 oC, while the scanning electron microscope test uses the ASTM E673 testing standard with 1000 times magnification.
