Abstract

Tesis ini membahas tentang permasalahan yang timbul dari akibat kurangnya keterlibatan mahasiswa sebagai agen toleransi beragama di Indonesia. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya beberapa mahasiswa yang tidak berperan aktif dalam mengambil bagian dalam menciptakan sikap toleransi beragama. Mahasiswa sebagai agen toleransi beragama sangat diperlukan dalam berperan aktif untuk mengamalkan nilai-nilai toleransi beragama. Penguatan peran kepada mahasiswa diperlukan model pendidikan agama Kristen dalam membina sikap toleransi beragama dan juga komunitas yang ada. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah anggota Young Interfaith Peacemaker Community Indonesia dan objeknya adalah Young Interfaith Peacemaker Community Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui peran mahasiswa dalam Young Interfaith Peacemaker Community Indonesia sebagai agen toleransi beragama di Indonesia dan pemaknaan mahasiswa terhadap konsep toleransi beragama dalam pendidikan agama Kristen Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini bersumber dari wawancara dan dokumen yang terkait sebagai sumber primer dan sekunder. Hasil dari penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa peran mahasiswa sebagai agen toleransi beragama melalui YIPC Indonesia memberi dampak yang sangat baik terlebih mendorong agar terciptanya kehidupan kerukunan di tengah keberagaman dan kemajemukan Indonesia. Kata Kunci: Peran Mahasiswa, YIPC Indonesia, PAK. / This thesis discusses the problems that arose due to students' lack of involvement as agents of religious tolerance in Indonesia. This is evidenced by the presence of several students who did not play an active role in taking part in creating an attitude of religious tolerance. Students, as agents of religious tolerance, are needed to play an active role in practicing the values of religious tolerance. Strengthening the role of students requires a Christian religious education model in fostering an attitude of religious tolerance and also the existing community. The subjects of this research are the Young Interfaith Peacemaker Community Indonesia members, and the object is the Young Interfaith Peacemaker Community Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of students in the Young Interfaith Peacemaker Community Indonesia as agents of religious tolerance in Indonesia and students' interpretation of the concept of religious tolerance in Christian religious education. The research used is qualitative research. The data obtained in this study were sourced from interviews and related documents as primary and secondary sources. The results of this study prove that the role of students as agents of religious tolerance through YIPC Indonesia has a significant impact, especially in encouraging the creation of a life of harmony in Indonesia's diversity and pluralism.
